Property Description for 121 East 10th Street, D

The Most Unique Duplex in the St. Mark's Historic District

Exciting East Village living meets historic Bohemian charm in this one-of-a-kind duplex with enchanting details throughout.

This stunning loft is lined with exposed redbrick walls, 10-foot barrel-vaulted ceilings, and carefully curated reclaimed vintage fixtures, which create a truly special escape. The residence is seconds from St. Mark's Place, NoHo, Washington Square Park, The Bowery, Union Square, and Tompkins Square Park, giving residents easy access to some of the city's most iconic dining, shopping, and nightlife destinations.

The upper level begins with an open living, dining, and kitchen space perfect for lounging and entertaining. Oversized windows allow for abundant natural light, accentuating custom light fixtures and wide plank rift cut Georgian white pine floors.

The kitchen is adorned with chic mosaic tile countertops, a four-burner gas range, dual fridges, and open shelving. The gorgeous bathroom is lined with blue slate tile floors, mosaic tile accents, and features a walk-in shower.

Industrial floating stairs with reclaimed steps lead down to the lower level, with a spacious sleeping area and a tremendous walk-in closet with custom built-in storage. Hand-painted floors complement whitewashed exposed stone walls and ceiling beams, and this level receives natural light from an above skylight. The number of bedrooms listed is not a legal conclusion. Each person should consult with his/her own attorney, architect or zoning expert to determine as to the number of rooms in the unit that may be legally used as a bedroom.

121 East 10th Street is a desirable boutique co-op with low maintenance, laundry facilities, a stunning rooftop deck with panoramic city views, and part-time super. The building is located on a beautiful tree-lined street moments from trendy restaurants, bars, cafes, and shops, including Veselka, Veniero's, McSorley's, Soothr, and Cadence, among many others. Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, and Wegmans are all nearby, as is the Union Square Farmer's Market. Accessible subway lines include the 4, 5, 6, N, Q, R, W, and L.

East Village | Manhattan

Quick Profile

The East Village has two distinct moods. By day, it is quiet and peaceful. Everyone is out and about, either working or relaxing at Tompkins Square Park, strolling or jogging along the East River, or hanging out in one of the subsets of cultural activity, such as St. Mark’s Place.

But then night falls, and the East Village comes to life, keeping the entertainment and nightlife going long after the other neighborhoods have called it quits for the night. People from all five boroughs flock to the dive bars and speakeasies, head for their favorite cafes and restaurants, or drop in to a music venue to listen to hot tunes or cool jazz and dance the night away. Don’t worry, you don’t have to “know somebody” to gain admittance to even the most popular venues. You won’t find velvet ropes, bouncers, or and a waiting list at the door of most places. Just walk right in and enjoy yourself.

Be prepared for the increased population during fall through spring, when NYU is in session. College students will be everywhere, contributing to the youthful essense of the neighborhood.
