In the perfect location - and with a full-sized garage - this charming Windsor Terrace three-bedroom, 1.5 bath, brick home is ready for your finishing touches. The separate enclosed foyer lets you enter into the lovely open floor format of a living-dining space. The beautifully installed new hardwood floors are stunning throughout the living areas and entire second floor. There’s a large front nook for a special studying or work-at-home space that lends a view to the tree lined block and provides a serene work environment. The primary bedroom has two ample closets and is always sunny through its large front windows. It's a spacious room that can hold a king sized bed with dressers; the two additional bedrooms are both large enough for queen sized beds, desks and furniture. Closets in each room, too! With 1400sqft of living space, the finished basement additionally has over 750sqft of usable area and is ready to serve as a recreation room with two large storage closets, washer/dryer, stationary tub and well maintained mechanicals in excellent shape. The private backyard offers a little respite where you can relax with your morning coffee, maintain a garden, or just enjoy the fruit bearing fig tree that has been well tended over many years. (It’s delicious!) The extended front yard with diminutive mulberry tree offers plenty of space to create an outdoor patio area and be a part of the community as your local neighbors walk by. It’s noteworthy that the large private garage gives you an immediate advantage with a coveted off-street parking spot that has an additional storage ledge to accommodate not only your car, but multiple bikes or large items. Total lot size is 23’x97’. This home has been well maintained and is in great working condition. The kitchen is quaint awaiting your own taste in renovation. 181 Terrace Place is in an amazing location! Locally, take your bike to Greenwood or Vanderbilt Playgrounds, Greenwood Cemetery, Prospect Farm Community Gardens, Windsor Terrace Library or one block to Prospect Park and enjoy all this neighborhood has to offer. You also will be around the corner from great local eateries like Le Paddock, Adirondack Tavern, Cena, Della Valle, Poetica (for coffee) and Elk Cafe and the local supermarket and pharmacy. It’s easily accessible to Manhattan and sits between two stops on the F & G trains. There is a virtual renovation of the kitchen and virtual staging of furniture; photos without staging are as the property is - amazing floors and solid location.

Windsor Terrace | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

The tiny, comma-shaped neighborhood of Windsor Terrace is bookended between two of Brooklyn’s largest green spaces, Prospect Park and the massive Green-Wood cemetery. Aside from the presence of the Prospect Park Expressway, which dissects the neighborhood in two, this residential community offers a suburban sensibility with its tree-lined streets, low volume traffic and the low height character of its streetscape.

Many homes in the area are low to the ground, lending a suburban feel to the neighborhood, and the area has been down-zoned to maintain its low-rise appeal and character. There are plentiful brick row houses that have very low turnover. If you are lucky enough to buy or rent one, you tend to hold on to it. There are also small apartment buildings, private homes, condos and multi-family homes in a wide price range

There is commercial development along Prospect Park West, Fort Hamilton Parkway and Prospect Avenue, but even these new stores and restaurants are mostly family-owned and operated, maintaining the small-town charm. The pace of life is slower. The schools are good, which is a big draw for families with young children. The people are friendly, which gives a real sense of neighborhood and community to Windsor Terrace.
