Property Description for 228 Ave B, 14

This one bedroom, one bath apartment is move-in ready and waiting for your personal touch.

Located on the 4th floor (sorry, no elevator) – your new apartment is flooded with natural light.

You enter into your kitchen, which has all stainless steel appliances (4 burner gas cooktop and oven, GE refrigerator, GE built-in microwave and dishwasher), black granite countertop, black subway tile backsplash and an abundance of Shaker-style cabinets and drawers. The kitchen area measures 9.25' × 6.70'.

The living room has hardwood floors, has a built-in bookcase and a large window making the area cheerful and sunny. It measures 11' × 12'.

The bathroom also has a large window, a wide shower stall with a rainfall showerhead, modern vanity sink, medicine cabinet and marble flooring.

The bedroom has a large window to let the sun in and a nice-sized clothes closet that measures 8' × 8.25'.

Heat and hot water are paid by the landlord, you’re responsible for cooking gas, electric and internet (Spectrum is the provider).

The location is perfect, as it’s two blocks from the L train (1st Avenue stop) and around the corner from the M14D-SBS bus stop. There are two laundromats right around the corner on 14th Street – super convenient. Tompkins Park is 3 blocks away, East River Park and Promenade (with lots of outdoor activities) is also 3 blocks away.

Target (including a Target Grocery store) is a block away and there are tons of stores for anything you need, all in the neighborhood.

East Village | Manhattan

Quick Profile

The East Village has two distinct moods. By day, it is quiet and peaceful. Everyone is out and about, either working or relaxing at Tompkins Square Park, strolling or jogging along the East River, or hanging out in one of the subsets of cultural activity, such as St. Mark’s Place.

But then night falls, and the East Village comes to life, keeping the entertainment and nightlife going long after the other neighborhoods have called it quits for the night. People from all five boroughs flock to the dive bars and speakeasies, head for their favorite cafes and restaurants, or drop in to a music venue to listen to hot tunes or cool jazz and dance the night away. Don’t worry, you don’t have to “know somebody” to gain admittance to even the most popular venues. You won’t find velvet ropes, bouncers, or and a waiting list at the door of most places. Just walk right in and enjoy yourself.

Be prepared for the increased population during fall through spring, when NYU is in session. College students will be everywhere, contributing to the youthful essense of the neighborhood.
