Property Description for 201 West 17th Street, 3-A

Welcome to Residence 3A, a perfectly proportioned three bedroom, two and bathroom home in Chelsea.
Upon entry through the spacious foyer, with a built-in entry table and massive hall closets, guests are guided to the expansive great room. With multiple areas for living, dining and entertaining, the great room offers flexibility depending on your needs. 10' ceilings and a floor-to-ceiling corner bay window give the space a sun drenched, light & airy loft-like feeling.
The open, windowed kitchen has been thoughtfully renovated to the highest standard, with a Miele Refrigerator, DW, Oven & Speed Oven, a Wolf range with vented hood, a separate wine refrigerator and smartly designed custom cabinetry with sliding spice racks, pullout pantries, walnut shelving and accent lighting throughout. This custom chef's kitchen is a dream as you prepare dinner for family and friends.
Unlike most homes, 3A provides truly separate wings for sleeping and entertaining. Located opposite the living space, the bright and grand-scaled primary suite is pin-drop quiet and boasts a massive walk-in-closet, a built-in entertainment center with added storage, and an en-suite bathroom with a large double vanity, deep soaking tub and separate stand-alone shower.
The second and third bedrooms are large enough to accommodate king or queen sized beds, and also offer custom-fitted closets. Additional features of this home include immaculately refinished bamboo floors, custom tile and stonework, a vented washer/dryer, NEST thermostats and a dedicated storage cage.
201 West 17th Street is a 37-unit condominium offering residents a dedicated, longtime 24-hour doorman staff, and a beloved full-time resident super and porter. The building provides two fully landscaped (& Wi-Fi enabled) roof decks, featuring panoramic city views with multiple lounges, a separate, 12 person (pergola and heated) dining section, and a movie screening area. Roof decks may be reserved for private events. Bike room available. This pet-friendly building is conveniently located near public transportation, the new 20th Street playground, Whole Foods & Trader Joe's, and is just moments away from the West Village, Flatiron, Meatpacking and the Highline.

Chelsea | Manhattan

Quick Profile

The row houses portray the world-class architecture of Greek Revival, Italianate and Georgian styles. The population is both ethnically and socially diverse, which is reflected in the restaurants and retail businesses in the neighborhood.

Western Chelsea is the center of the NYC art world, where you will find more than 200 art galleries housed in rehabbed factories and warehouses, as well as in newly-constructed buildings.

While people of many different cultures call Chelsea home, it has been a mecca over the years for people in the LGBTQ community. One census reported that as many as 22% of its residents were gay couples. Eighth Avenue is a trendy area for LGBTQ-oriented dining and shopping. Although it no longer draws the LGBTQ population that it once did, Chelsea still has many popular alternative bars.

Chelsea is primarily residential, consisting of a mixture of diverse complexes, low-rise apartment blocks, tenements, townhouses, renovated row houses, and luxury high-rises.

Chelsea is an interesting and sought-after place to live, with unique clothing boutiques, restaurants, and delis representing cultures from around the world. In addition to its quirky establishments, Chelsea has fine dining restaurants and a vibrant, hip nightlife, which adds to its allure.

Chelsea is well-served by public transportation. At least six city bus routes traverse Chelsea. There are three NYC subway routes with stops on Seventh Avenue, three on Eighth Avenue, and two more on Sixth Avenue. The 34th Street - Hudson Yards Station opened in 2015 with its main entrance in Chelsea.
