Furnished short term lease available – ideally around 6 months! Welcome home to 47 Sherman Street – An adorable alcove studio located in a pristine newly renovated designer 2 Family Townhouse. This studio apartment boasts a private entrance and foyer. Upon entry, the apartment is spacious and oversized and you are greeted by the open loft-like living room and designer kitchen. Past the kitchen is the sleeping alcove and spacious closet. To the left sits the bathroom – a serene & spacious retreat with tranquil stand up shower and large scale terrazzo floor. It is a quiet tree-lined Brooklyn street with rows of quaint townhouses & a long history. The building was built in 1901 as well as many of its neighboring counterparts. The neighborhood keeps its lineage of a small town feel yet close to all including Windsor Farms Market, Krupa Grocery Restaurant, Nitehawk Cinema, True Love Always, Windsor Wine Merchants and so much more. Perhaps one of the best benefits of this offering is the location. A short walk to the F/G trains at 15th Street Prospect Park; shuffle around Brooklyn or into the city in minutes. Also close to Park Slope as well as only steps to Prospect Park — Brooklyn’s 526 acre greenspace and its running paths, biking, bird watching, sports, zoo, concerts, laughs, fresh air and good New York living.

Windsor Terrace | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

The tiny, comma-shaped neighborhood of Windsor Terrace is bookended between two of Brooklyn’s largest green spaces, Prospect Park and the massive Green-Wood cemetery. Aside from the presence of the Prospect Park Expressway, which dissects the neighborhood in two, this residential community offers a suburban sensibility with its tree-lined streets, low volume traffic and the low height character of its streetscape.

Many homes in the area are low to the ground, lending a suburban feel to the neighborhood, and the area has been down-zoned to maintain its low-rise appeal and character. There are plentiful brick row houses that have very low turnover. If you are lucky enough to buy or rent one, you tend to hold on to it. There are also small apartment buildings, private homes, condos and multi-family homes in a wide price range

There is commercial development along Prospect Park West, Fort Hamilton Parkway and Prospect Avenue, but even these new stores and restaurants are mostly family-owned and operated, maintaining the small-town charm. The pace of life is slower. The schools are good, which is a big draw for families with young children. The people are friendly, which gives a real sense of neighborhood and community to Windsor Terrace.
