Property Description for 38 Wilson Ave, 2-A

If you have the dream of an Art Deco refined home in heart of Bushwick, your search is over.

Apartment #2A at 38 Wilson Ave is extremely spacious, will lit and just plain pretty. The dark wood planks contrast the updated ivory kitchen perfectly. New, yet mid-century designed. The chef's area has ample space for dining, a dishwasher and comes with the ever-coveted Smeg refrigerator.

The home has a huge living area that is sequestered by attractive French Doors. This room can easily be utilized as a home office, den or even guest area. Natural light floods in from the North alongside a view of sky, trees and complete privacy.

The primary bedroom is massive! It's that simple. More than an ample space to fit a king-sized bed, an armoire, nightstands and even a full sized desk. The room is outfitted with a built in closet.

Edison-style overhead lighting is placed all throughout the home and it is equipped with dimmers. There is a combo washer/dryer unit in the entrance foyer and an updated, spacious bathroom to the right as you walk in.

The building is a modern, boutique condominium with an elevator and a shared roof deck with panoramic skyline views. Located in prime Bushwick, you will be surrounded by the vibrancy of the neighborhood and its arts scene and the area's best restaurants, bars, venues, vintage shops, and gourmet markets right outside your door. 38 Wilson Avenue is easily accessible from the L and J/M/Z trains.

This home does not come furnished. Displayed wallpaper and wall paint has been changed.

Bushwick | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

As one of the most diverse neighborhoods in New York, Bushwick offers a perfect snapshot of just how multicultural the city is. Long-established as an amalgam of cultures and ethnicities, a wave of varying types of immigrants trickled in from the seventeenth to twentieth centuries, with Bushwick largely becoming a home to Hispanics of Puerto Rican and Dominican backgrounds by the latter part of the twentieth century.

With the Bushwick Initiative of the mid-00s that aided in revitalization, it became an attractive area to young professionals and artists. And even now, Bushwick has sustained affordable rent prices where other North Brooklyn counterparts, like Williamsburg and Greenpoint, have become more expensive. Priding itself on the weird and the wacky, numerous art collectives thrive in this part of Brooklyn, once famously named the seventh coolest neighborhood in the world by Vogue.

Though it has drawn in many tourists in recent years (there’s even a graffiti tour you can take from the Bushwick Collective), the neighborhood remains very much community-oriented, and has not been subject to quite the same sort of corporate infiltration phenomenon of its nearby Williamsburg environs.

But yes, of course, Bushwick has come a very long way from its 80s and 90s reputation as being “The Well,” a nickname given to it for its free-flowing and widely available amount of drugs (quantity over quality being the cliche applied here).
