Property Description for 34 Woodbine Street

A beautiful three story, two family, brick townhouse nestled in between the border of Bushwick and Bedford-Stuyvesant. 34 Woodbine offers the perfect blend of spacious living and investment potential. Upon entering the owner’s duplex, you will find an open floor plan designed for relaxation and entertainment. With its floor-through layout, every inch has been curated to create an airy, inviting atmosphere. Large windows and glass doors flood the home with sunlight, illuminating the rich blond oak floors and sleek stainless steel finishes. The thoughtfully designed open kitchen features: grey and white cabinetry, stainless steel appliances, and a large quartz kitchen island. Sliding glass doors open onto the deck, offering a seamless transition to the backyard below—it is the perfect space for entertaining. Upstairs, the home continues to impress with three bright and spacious bedrooms, two beautifully appointed baths, and a convenient washer/dryer closet. The primary bedroom is complete with an en suite bath and nearly floor-to-ceiling windows that bathe the room in natural light. Income producing ground floor rental apartment- with a tenant in place through June 2025- it is designed with a similar aesthetic to the upstairs. The backyard is currently partitioned to allow partial access to the current tenant. Fully finished basement- currently used by owners- but can be added to the rental unit if you would like. Five minutes to the Gates Avenue train station, the commute to Manhattan is less than 20 minutes.

Bushwick | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

As one of the most diverse neighborhoods in New York, Bushwick offers a perfect snapshot of just how multicultural the city is. Long-established as an amalgam of cultures and ethnicities, a wave of varying types of immigrants trickled in from the seventeenth to twentieth centuries, with Bushwick largely becoming a home to Hispanics of Puerto Rican and Dominican backgrounds by the latter part of the twentieth century.

With the Bushwick Initiative of the mid-00s that aided in revitalization, it became an attractive area to young professionals and artists. And even now, Bushwick has sustained affordable rent prices where other North Brooklyn counterparts, like Williamsburg and Greenpoint, have become more expensive. Priding itself on the weird and the wacky, numerous art collectives thrive in this part of Brooklyn, once famously named the seventh coolest neighborhood in the world by Vogue.

Though it has drawn in many tourists in recent years (there’s even a graffiti tour you can take from the Bushwick Collective), the neighborhood remains very much community-oriented, and has not been subject to quite the same sort of corporate infiltration phenomenon of its nearby Williamsburg environs.

But yes, of course, Bushwick has come a very long way from its 80s and 90s reputation as being “The Well,” a nickname given to it for its free-flowing and widely available amount of drugs (quantity over quality being the cliche applied here).
