Property Description for 200 East 58th Street, 16-F

Brilliantly Luxurious Junior 4 Apartment with Full Architectural Remodel Experience an elevated lifestyle of unique quality and function. Completely reimagined over the course of two years (circa 2006) by renowned architect, Thomas Leeser, this exemplary Junior 4 apartment embodies the high end aesthetic associated with Upper East Side living. Ideally located in the exclusive building of The Blair House, the residence sits within two blocks from The Plaza Office District, one block away from five subway lines and conveniences, such Whole Foods (two-blocks), Central Park (three-blocks), Fifth Avenue shopping (3-blocks), Trader Joe’s (three-blocks), Equinox (four-blocks), Madison Avenue high-end boutiques, and world-famous restaurants/cafés. Contemporary design leaves a lasting impression with sleek lines, gleaming epoxy flooring, Corian built-ins, premium finishes, and an expansive living room. Adorned in European walnut, the dining area acts as a centerpiece for both conversation and admiration. Equipped with glass ceilings and sweeping views of the “Big Apple,” the space integrates a rarely found quality of urban indoor/outdoor living. Explore the heights of your culinary abilities in the one-of-a-kind gourmet kitchen. The open shelving and elegant cabinets offer an excellent means to store and display housewares. High-end appliances (Gaggenau and Sub-Zero) and a recessed breakfast table add a thoughtful touch to this foodie’s dream kitchen. Fashioned with contemporary design elements, the oversized primary bedroom has fitted closets, while the stylish full bathroom captivates with a deep custom soaking tub, modern hardware, and floor-to-ceiling tile. Additional considerations include a full-time doorman, in-building new laundry facilities, new upgrades to lobby and hallways planned this year, live-in super, elevator, bike room, pet-friendly building, low real estate taxes, low common charges, and so much more! Midtown East | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Midtown West and Midtown East have a lot in common. They’re bustling, iconic, and full of people. But just like siblings, their personalities can be vastly different. Midtown East is a bit more sophisticated and doesn’t quite have the vivacity and unruliness that its westerly counterpart exudes.

Midtown East is bordered by 42nd to the south, 59th Street to the north, 5th Avenue to the west, and 3rd Avenue to the east.

The neighborhood is famous for its high-end stores, tourist attractions, posh hotels (budget ones too), and iconic architecture. Midtown East is also one of the largest financial and business hubs in Manhattan. During normal business hours the sidewalks are full of commuters and people moving from point A to point B. In the early evening, when the masses have left for the day, things suddenly get a little quieter and the sidewalks have a lot less foot traffic.

Although largely a commercial neighborhood, residential areas of Midtown East do exist on the eastern section of the neighborhood.

Grand Central Station is located in Midtown East and like Midtown West, it’s an extremely commutable neighborhood. The 4, 5, 6, 7 and S trains whisk people in and out of the neighborhood 24 hours a day. Grand Central Station also serves as a hub for New York State and Connecticut commuter rails. These trains can take you anywhere along the Hudson River or up into Connecticut. It’s perfect for day tripping.
