Property Description for 414 East 10th Street, 4-C

Rarely Available Renovated 2-Bedroom (Flex 3) HDFC Co-op

Discover this beautifully renovated 2-bedroom (easily convertible to 3) and 2-bathroom HDFC co-op in a charming, pet-friendly building. Conveniently located near multiple bus lines, the L train, and just minutes from Trader Joe’s and Target, this home offers both comfort and accessibility.

Step into the expansive living and dining area, where original solid oak floors complement the space that easily accommodates an 8-person dining table and large living room furniture. The open kitchen features a dishwasher, a brand-new refrigerator, and a breakfast bar. The primary bedroom fits a king-size bed, while the second bedroom comfortably holds a full bed and includes a custom-built Twin XL Murphy bed.

At opposite ends of the apartment, you’ll find two recently renovated bathrooms. In the primary bathroom, there is already a W/D hook up. All that’s needed is a new W/D with board approval. Installation will be seamless and at low cost. With great closet space, windows in every room, and sun-filled southern exposure in both bedrooms, this third-floor walk-up feels bright and spacious. Currently configured as a 2-bedroom, the layout allows for an easy conversion back to a 3-bedroom by reinstating the previously adjoining living room space.

The well-maintained building boasts excellent financial health, low and stable maintenance fees, and the building allows 90% financing. Amenities include a landscaped community backyard with a grill and seating area, a large laundry room, a first-floor stroller storage cage, and a locked bike room—all available at no extra charge. A dedicated long-time superintendent keeps the building in top condition.

Income restrictions apply: At the time of purchase and the previous tax year, household income must not exceed the following limits based on family size—1 person: $154K, 2: $176K, 3: $198K, 4: $220K. Mortgage guarantors and gifted down payments are permitted, but co-purchasing and pieds-à-terre are not allowed.

East Village | Manhattan

Quick Profile

The East Village has two distinct moods. By day, it is quiet and peaceful. Everyone is out and about, either working or relaxing at Tompkins Square Park, strolling or jogging along the East River, or hanging out in one of the subsets of cultural activity, such as St. Mark’s Place.

But then night falls, and the East Village comes to life, keeping the entertainment and nightlife going long after the other neighborhoods have called it quits for the night. People from all five boroughs flock to the dive bars and speakeasies, head for their favorite cafes and restaurants, or drop in to a music venue to listen to hot tunes or cool jazz and dance the night away. Don’t worry, you don’t have to “know somebody” to gain admittance to even the most popular venues. You won’t find velvet ropes, bouncers, or and a waiting list at the door of most places. Just walk right in and enjoy yourself.

Be prepared for the increased population during fall through spring, when NYU is in session. College students will be everywhere, contributing to the youthful essense of the neighborhood.
