Property Description for 315 Seventh Ave, 19-D

A Tranquil Fusion of Japanese Aesthetics & Industrial Elegance Step inside this expansive loft, where Japanese-inspired design meets industrial charm, creating a peaceful yet inspiring retreat. The space also functions as a working artist’s studio, with carefully curated original artwork. The open floor plan features a bright red retro chair, a handmade wooden dining table, and a versatile workspace, perfect for productivity or intimate gatherings. The minimalist Japanese aesthetic fosters a sense of calm, offering an oasis from the city's energy. At the heart of the loft is a serene Japanese tea-room alcove with an organic tatami matt floor enclosed by elegant shoji screens for privacy. Sleep in traditional Japanese comfort on a futon, which can be rolled up during the day to transform the space for yoga, pilates, or quiet meditation. A queen-size mattress is also available upon request. A hidden gem awaits in the spa-like bathroom, where an indoor garden separates the space, offering a tranquil retreat. Indulge in the deep soaking air tub. The bathroom sink is illuminated by a softly pulsating blue light that echoes a human heartbeat—an artist’s signature touch. This stunning loft is located in the heart of Chelsea—an artist’s haven and urban retreat with a private terrace overlooking the Hudson River, offering front-row seats to the 4th of July fireworks. Just 5 minutes from Penn Station and a 12-minute walk to Times Square, this pre-war building is ideally situated across from the Fashion Institute of Technology, with a Starbucks conveniently located on the ground floor. Whether you’re visiting for work, leisure, or artistic inspiration, this rare gem in the heart of NYC is perfect for creatives, culture lovers, and those seeking a peaceful yet dynamic urban escape. Please note: This listing is a furnished 3 month summer rental. May 18-Aug 17

Chelsea | Manhattan

Quick Profile

The row houses portray the world-class architecture of Greek Revival, Italianate and Georgian styles. The population is both ethnically and socially diverse, which is reflected in the restaurants and retail businesses in the neighborhood.

Western Chelsea is the center of the NYC art world, where you will find more than 200 art galleries housed in rehabbed factories and warehouses, as well as in newly-constructed buildings.

While people of many different cultures call Chelsea home, it has been a mecca over the years for people in the LGBTQ community. One census reported that as many as 22% of its residents were gay couples. Eighth Avenue is a trendy area for LGBTQ-oriented dining and shopping. Although it no longer draws the LGBTQ population that it once did, Chelsea still has many popular alternative bars.

Chelsea is primarily residential, consisting of a mixture of diverse complexes, low-rise apartment blocks, tenements, townhouses, renovated row houses, and luxury high-rises.

Chelsea is an interesting and sought-after place to live, with unique clothing boutiques, restaurants, and delis representing cultures from around the world. In addition to its quirky establishments, Chelsea has fine dining restaurants and a vibrant, hip nightlife, which adds to its allure.

Chelsea is well-served by public transportation. At least six city bus routes traverse Chelsea. There are three NYC subway routes with stops on Seventh Avenue, three on Eighth Avenue, and two more on Sixth Avenue. The 34th Street - Hudson Yards Station opened in 2015 with its main entrance in Chelsea.
