Property Description for 92 Reade Street, 2

Welcome to 92 Reade Street, Apartment #2 - a beautifully renovated, full-floor loft offering 1,247 square feet of thoughtfully designed living space in the heart of Tribeca. Located just one flight up in an intimate, four-unit walk-up building, this one-bedroom residence blends historic charm with modern sophistication.

Entering through a gracious foyer, you're greeted by soaring 12'4" ceilings and a dramatic open layout that stretches nearly 30 feet from living to dining. Oversized New south-facing windows flood the home with natural light, highlighting the warmth of wide-plank hardwood floors and the clean, gallery-style walls - perfect for displaying art or simply enjoying a minimalist aesthetic.

The windowed kitchen is beautifully appointed with stainless steel appliances, including a gas range, microwave, dishwasher, and Bosch washer/dryer. Custom cabinetry, quartz countertops, and under-cabinet lighting provide both function and finesse, while a subway tile backsplash adds timeless appeal.

The expansive bedroom retreat spans nearly 18 feet, perfect for a queen sized bed. Two oversized walk-in closets provide exceptional storage. The spa-like bathroom features classic white subway tile, a soaking tub with sliding glass doors, a large vanity, and a window for natural light and ventilation. A versatile bonus nook off the foyer offers additional flexibility as a workspace, reading alcove, or extra storage area.

Additional features include six closets, baseboard heating, window A/C units, and a well-proportioned layout that enhances livability in every way. Utilities are obtained directly by the resident, allowing you to tailor your usage to suit your personal lifestyle. Pets are welcome.

92 Reade Street is a boutique walk-up building comprised of just four residential units. Originally constructed in 1878 with a white marble facade and cast-iron storefront, the building was designed by architect John B. McIntyre and is now a designated part of the Tribeca South Historic District. Once home to the famed Fries Bros. and other notable 19th-century manufacturers, it was thoughtfully converted to residential use in 1982 - preserving its Italianate and Second Empire architectural details while embracing modern loft living.

Located moments from the best of Tribeca - including Whole Foods, Brookfield Place, Locanda Verde, Frenchette, The Odeon, and the 1/2/3/A/C/E/R/W trains - this residence is perfectly positioned for vibrant, convenient downtown living.

Experience a rare blend of historic elegance and modern comfort in one of Manhattan's most iconic neighborhoods. See it today!

Quick Profile

TriBeCa, named after the small geographic triangle below Canal Street. It’s not really a triangle, it's a quadrilateral and it's bounded by West Street, Broadway, and Chambers Street. It’s a little too late for a name change and besides, QuaBeCa doesn't sound half as cool as Tribeca.

One of New York City’s more notable acronymed neighborhoods, TriBeCa is known for its trendy boutiques, fabolous restaurants, historical landmarks, and resident celebrity lofts. It still holds the title of one of the coolest places to live in New York City.

TriBeCa is one of the first residential neighborhoods of New York City. Way back in 1700’s wealthy New Yorkers built homes and maintained gardens in what is now TriBeca.

Later in history it shifted from residential to warehouses, commerce and markets. After the Civil War, shipping hubs moved from the East River to the Hudson River and revitalized areas like the South Street Seaport and TriBeca. When shipping and commerce increased, the area soon became a favorite spot for wholesalers to store their goods in large industrial warehouses.

Just like its neighbor SoHo, TriBeCa boasts one of the world’s largest collections of wrought-iron facades and Neo-Grecian architecture.
