The bathroom is adorned with classic black and white subway tiles, a towel warming rack, two large medicine cabinets, a rain shower head, and a window for natural light. The middle bedroom comfortably accommodates a double bed and additional furniture, while the expansive back bedroom could easily serve as a second primary suite, complete with two large closets. The main hallway bathroom is equally impressive, featuring marble subway tiles, Kohler fixtures, and a window. Additional highlights of this apartment include six elegant archways, stunning parquet hardwood floors in the living room and foyer, high ceilings, and nine windows that flood the home with sunlight throughout the day. With six large closets, including a walk-in, storage is abundant. This home seamlessly blends modern renovations with the building’s historic charm, enhanced by beautiful architectural details. Located in an iconic pre-war Art Deco building surrounded by lush gardens, the building offers a striking lobby with Terrazzo floors and etched glass windows. Residents enjoy the convenience of an elevator, laundry room, storage and bike storage (for an additional fee), and a live-in superintendent. An on-site composting station enriches the building’s gardens, tended by the Gardening Committee. Cats are welcome, and dogs are allowed upon approval. Local amenities abound, with popular spots like Cena, Poetica Cafe, The Adirondak, Le Paddock, Della, Parade Grounds, Tennis Courts, Prospect Park, and Vanderbilt Playground all within easy reach. Windsor Terrace | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

The tiny, comma-shaped neighborhood of Windsor Terrace is bookended between two of Brooklyn’s largest green spaces, Prospect Park and the massive Green-Wood cemetery. Aside from the presence of the Prospect Park Expressway, which dissects the neighborhood in two, this residential community offers a suburban sensibility with its tree-lined streets, low volume traffic and the low height character of its streetscape.

Many homes in the area are low to the ground, lending a suburban feel to the neighborhood, and the area has been down-zoned to maintain its low-rise appeal and character. There are plentiful brick row houses that have very low turnover. If you are lucky enough to buy or rent one, you tend to hold on to it. There are also small apartment buildings, private homes, condos and multi-family homes in a wide price range

There is commercial development along Prospect Park West, Fort Hamilton Parkway and Prospect Avenue, but even these new stores and restaurants are mostly family-owned and operated, maintaining the small-town charm. The pace of life is slower. The schools are good, which is a big draw for families with young children. The people are friendly, which gives a real sense of neighborhood and community to Windsor Terrace.
