Private Roof Deck - Penthouse Perfection in Chelsea

A stunning, rarely available full-floor condo penthouse in the heart of Chelsea with two private outdoor spaces is ready for its next chapter. As you enter through the private vestibule, you'll immediately be drawn to the abundant natural light and sweeping views provided by the floor-to-ceiling windows. To the north, enjoy unobstructed vistas of Hudson Yards and the Midtown skyline, while the south-facing exposure fills the space with bright, direct sunlight. The open kitchen and living area are generously sized and adaptable to any layout. The chef's kitchen boasts a massive island, custom cabinetry, premium appliances, and a tucked-away vented laundry room and pantry. This kitchen flows seamlessly into the expansive living and dining space, offering ample room for lounging, dining, working, or even a generously sized 5th bedroom.

Beyond the living room is the oversized primary bedroom, a massive walk-in closet, and an en-suite five-fixture bath with a window for natural light and stunning skyline views from your soaking tub. The south side of the apartment features three additional well-sized bedrooms, including one with its own en-suite bath, and all with excellent closet space.

A large balcony stretches across the entire southern side of the residence, perfect for enjoying stunning sunsets. And to top it all off, there's an extraordinary private rooftop spanning over 1,500 square feet, complete with tiled and turfed areas, a secluded pergola, lush irrigated plantings, and even a jacuzzi - an enviable outdoor retreat for any New Yorker.

This perfect penthouse is at the pinnacle of The Dance Building at 217 West 19th Street - a boutique condominium with just 12 units and a full-time superintendent. This amazing central location in the heart of Chelsea puts you within minutes of multiple subway lines, fabulous restaurants, shopping, the High Line and Hudson River Park.

Chelsea | Manhattan

Quick Profile

The row houses portray the world-class architecture of Greek Revival, Italianate and Georgian styles. The population is both ethnically and socially diverse, which is reflected in the restaurants and retail businesses in the neighborhood.

Western Chelsea is the center of the NYC art world, where you will find more than 200 art galleries housed in rehabbed factories and warehouses, as well as in newly-constructed buildings.

While people of many different cultures call Chelsea home, it has been a mecca over the years for people in the LGBTQ community. One census reported that as many as 22% of its residents were gay couples. Eighth Avenue is a trendy area for LGBTQ-oriented dining and shopping. Although it no longer draws the LGBTQ population that it once did, Chelsea still has many popular alternative bars.

Chelsea is primarily residential, consisting of a mixture of diverse complexes, low-rise apartment blocks, tenements, townhouses, renovated row houses, and luxury high-rises.

Chelsea is an interesting and sought-after place to live, with unique clothing boutiques, restaurants, and delis representing cultures from around the world. In addition to its quirky establishments, Chelsea has fine dining restaurants and a vibrant, hip nightlife, which adds to its allure.

Chelsea is well-served by public transportation. At least six city bus routes traverse Chelsea. There are three NYC subway routes with stops on Seventh Avenue, three on Eighth Avenue, and two more on Sixth Avenue. The 34th Street - Hudson Yards Station opened in 2015 with its main entrance in Chelsea.
