Property Description for 1240 Bedford Ave, 5-H

Available May 15th! First showing Saturday April 5th, by appointment only, 11-12:30.

Welcome home to this immaculate 2 bedroom/1 bathroom apartment located at 1240 Bedford Ave, in an elevator building in Bedstuy bordering Clinton Hill. Head up with me to the 5th floor to find peace, quiet and lots of light! As you enter into the open concept kitchen and living room, you are greeted with North/West light, hardwood floors, a chefs kitchen with dishwasher, and an XL spa like bathroom with dual shower heads. Down the hall you will find two generously sized bedrooms and four large closets (in total) throughout the home. Additional storage is available right outside your door. Each bedroom has a closet, and can fit a queen bed with room for a dresser and/or desk.

The building has wonderful amenities! Laundry in the basement, virtual doorman, parking (can vary on availability- inquire within), bike storage (additional), and a shared common area (coming soon).

The building is undergoing renovations expected to end Fall 2025; the owners have priced accordingly. Post renovation you will have brand new double paned windows, and split system for cooling. A solar canopy on the roof for lounging, a shared common courtyard, to reserve for guests, all while centered in a hub of transportation and neighborhood conveniences. The value goes on and on.

1240 Bedford is located within a block of John Hancock park, and a lot of transportation including: the A/C at Nostrand Ave and S at Franklin (shuttle to prospect park, and the botanical gardens) plus 3 very close citibike stations as well as ample bus lines: B25, B26, B44, B49, B52.

Nearby restaurants include: The Franklin, Glorietta Baldy, Harts, Breuklyn Tequila & Taco Bar, Bed Thai, Fulton Food Court, Shake Shack and more. There is a pharmacy within a 1/2 block and a grocery store across the street.

This unit is not to be missed! What a deal!

Please reach out if there are any questions. Hope to see you at the open house!

Bedford Stuyvesant | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

Known for its historic brownstones and tight-knit enclave, Bed-Stuy has increasingly left behind its early reputation for being a “bedroom community” and transcended into a highly desirable neighborhood.

Distinct for its aesthetic, it is populated with ornate buildings characterized by cornices, friezes, finials, fluting and other marks of classic architecture. Built up during the period from 1870 to 1900, its historic district runs to the north of Jefferson Avenue, to the east of Malcolm X Boulevard and to the west of Tompkins Avenue.

At one point known as “Brooklyn’s Little Harlem,” the shape of the area has shifted toward attracting a wider demographic of people thanks to the influx of bars, restaurants, antique furniture stores and vintage boutiques. More police enforcement paired with the decline of the crack epidemic at the beginning of the 2000s also opened the door for increased development, as well as the occupation of formerly abandoned buildings and spaces.
