Property Description for 30 East 29th Street, 16-A

Walk into this designer dream home at NoMad’s sophisticated full-service condo, Rose Hill. This owner started with the stunning, art-deco inspired design of the developer and then added their own custom details, creating a serene respite in the city. 16A is a well laid out 1,416 square foot two-bedroom, two-bathroom home with the bonus and flexibility of a separate home office. There are soaring ceilings at 11 feet, Northern and Southern exposures and wonderful light and city views through expansive windows that are 9 feet high. Each of the windows have beautifully done custom curtains and shades. The living space has a loft-like feel with an open kitchen and sliding glass doors to the home office. The kitchen has Miele appliances, a wine fridge, custom ultra-matte, dark charcoal woodwork, metal-framed glass upper cabinetry and Calacatta-honed marble countertops. There is a generous amount of kitchen storage, including a pantry. The south-facing primary suite has a spacious walk-in closet and a marble bathroom with a walk-in shower, a custom-designed vanity, brass finished fixtures and radiant heated floors. There are wide-planked hardwood floors throughout, as well as excellent storage and an in-unit washer/dryer. Two private storage units are also available for sale. Completed in 2021, Rose Hill is one of the few premiere NoMad condominiums with ultra chic amenities. The tone is set with the grand, double-height lobby that has multiple seating areas and a fireplace, plus a separate lounge and a landscaped courtyard with outdoor seating. Downstairs is the fully equipped gym, curated by Fhitting Room. There is an expansive 50-foot pool surrounded by hand-crafted, green oxide-glazed tiled walls and a dry heat wellness sauna, as well as a professional-grade squash court. The entire 37th floor has more exquisitely designed amenities, including a library lounge with a billiards table, a private dining room and two covered terraces with spectacular 360-degree views. Rose Hill is a full-service building with a 24-hour doorman and staff, a package room with cold storage, a bike room and a large storage room.

NoMad | Manhattan

Quick Profile

NoMad, North of Madison Square Park, is a rectangular swath of land that is bordered by East 25th Street to the south, East 29th Street to the north, Sixth Avenue to the west, and depending who you ask, Madison or Lexington Avenue to the East. It’s had its acronymed name for over two decades but not every New Yorker calls the neighborhood NoMad.

Historic architecture, trendy hotels and restaurants and high-priced apartments - NoMad wasn’t always the coveted neighborhood that it is today. It’s gone through many transformations over the years. Including a red light district known as the Tenderloin in the 1880’s. It was a popular shopping destination and a place where high society held court in the mid 19th century. It was part of New York City’s Silicon Alley in the 1990’s.

As of lately, world class chefs and restaurants have moved into NoMad. It’s tied with Midtown Manhattan for having the most Michelin stars (six stars to date). Besides NoMad’s architecture, nightlife, and restaurants, we can’t forget the added perk of being close to other great neighborhoods and cultural institutions. NoMad’s central location makes it easier to get just about anywhere in the city. You can walk to Chelsea, West Village, Union Square or Grand Central Station in no time at all. The N, R, 1, 6, B, Q, F, and M are very close or just a few blocks away. Penn Station is also within walking distance.
