Property Description for 49 Chambers Street, 5-G

Impeccably designed 3,225-square-foot residence-featuring three bedrooms, two and a half baths, and a generous media room-is a masterwork by renowned design firm Gabellini Sheppard, set within one of Manhattan's most celebrated Beaux-Arts landmark buildings.

A grand double-door entry opens to an exquisite formal foyer, immediately showcasing the home's refined elegance and masterful detailing. A sophisticated palette of warm earth tones is enriched with striking bronze, metal, and mirror accents. Rich hickory hardwood floors laid in a custom chevron pattern, cerused Cypress millwork, and dramatic stone finishes imbue every inch of this home with timeless sophistication. Fifteen custom-designed closets offer seamless, beautifully integrated storage throughout.

Thoughtfully configured to create effortless flow, the expansive kitchen and entertaining areas are a true showpiece. The chef's kitchen offers exceptional storage and a sculptural center island, seamlessly blending into the surrounding great rooms. Custom Cypress cabinetry is paired with honed San Marino marble countertops, and a curated suite of premier appliances-including a SubZero refrigerator and freezer, Gaggenau gas cooktop, Wolf dual convection oven with warming drawer, and Miele dishwasher-ensures an elevated culinary experience.

The serene and oversized primary suite exudes quiet luxury, offering a gracious sense of scale, custom built-in closets, and an en-suite bath reminiscent of a Roman spa. Clad in honed Ariel White marble and illuminated with soft cove lighting, the five-fixture bath features custom Apaiser stone vanities, a deep soaking tub, elegant framed mirrors, and radiant heated floors.

The secondary bedrooms are king-sized sanctuaries bathed in natural light, providing comfort and elegance in equal measure. A full-size washer and dryer and separate dry bar complete this exceptional home.

Residents of 49 Chambers enjoy a curated suite of over 20,000 square feet of premier amenities, including a rooftop terrace, indoor pool, hammam, steam and sauna rooms, state-of-the-art fitness center, private screening room, resident lounge, children's playroom, tween lounge, bike storage, package room, and full-time resident manager.

Offered at an exceptional value, this is a rare opportunity to own a home of enduring beauty and distinction in one of downtown Manhattan's most iconic buildings.

Tribeca | Manhattan

Quick Profile

TriBeCa, named after the small geographic triangle below Canal Street. It’s not really a triangle, it's a quadrilateral and it's bounded by West Street, Broadway, and Chambers Street. It’s a little too late for a name change and besides, QuaBeCa doesn't sound half as cool as Tribeca.

One of New York City’s more notable acronymed neighborhoods, TriBeCa is known for its trendy boutiques, fabolous restaurants, historical landmarks, and resident celebrity lofts. It still holds the title of one of the coolest places to live in New York City.

TriBeCa is one of the first residential neighborhoods of New York City. Way back in 1700’s wealthy New Yorkers built homes and maintained gardens in what is now TriBeca.

Later in history it shifted from residential to warehouses, commerce and markets. After the Civil War, shipping hubs moved from the East River to the Hudson River and revitalized areas like the South Street Seaport and TriBeca. When shipping and commerce increased, the area soon became a favorite spot for wholesalers to store their goods in large industrial warehouses.

Just like its neighbor SoHo, TriBeCa boasts one of the world’s largest collections of wrought-iron facades and Neo-Grecian architecture.
