Property Description for 3 Bedford Street, 2-AB

Residence 2AB at 3 Bedford Street is a rare opportunity to own an expansive, true 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom condo apartment located on one of the West Village's most enchanting and iconic streets. Perfectly situated on a prime corner of Bedford Street, this unique residence offers an exceptional blend of smart modern design, coveted privacy, and a living space perfectly segmented into separate wings designed for living and entertaining - all just moments from the West Village's best dining, shopping, and culture.

When you step off the keyed elevator, you are greeted by an unshared landing for this full-floor apartment that functions as a welcoming transition space-ideal for discreet storage or simply creating a sense of arrival. From there, you are welcomed by an open family/dining room bathed in morning light from its large Eastern facing windows, as well as a working wood-burning fireplace and an abundant coat closet.

The adjacent, windowed chef's kitchen with marble countertops and premium appliances, includes a Wolf gas stove/oven, an integrated wine fridge within the large kitchen island, and a new Samsung fridge, creating the perfect space for entertaining while cooking. A dedicated pantry closet provides convenient extra storage for dry goods and kitchen essentials. Plus, you can enjoy your morning coffee/tea with a breath of fresh air from your apartment via a sliding glass door with Juliet balcony.

Down the hallway, over the custom 4" stained oak wood floors, you will find a double-stacked Miele washer/dryer hidden away behind the millwork, and a full guest bathroom and two well-appointed bedrooms tucked away. One bedroom features a large Eastern facing window with a full wall of closets and a conjoined windowed en-suite full bath. Down the hall further you will find the full guest bathroom and the second bedroom bathed in natural light from floor-to-ceiling corner windows with Southern exposure.

Crossing back from one side of the apartment to the other, a vast formal living room provides a quiet retreat or gathering space, centered around a second wood-burning fireplace and framed by more Eastern facing windows, bringing in the quaint tree-lined street views. A discreet sliding door can separate the two wings of the apartment to provide additional privacy, and a hidden bar cabinet featuring glass interior shelving adds a touch of sophistication when entertaining.

Continuing through the living room you step into the primary suite area- a peaceful sanctuary that includes an organized custom walk-in closet, a windowed office space with built-in shelving, and a spacious 5-fixture primary bathroom with marble double vanity, soaking tub, and a walk-in rain shower with Waterworks fixtures. Step out from your well - apportioned bedroom to a private terrace overlooking the lush back gardens.

2AB at 3 Bedford Street offers a rare abundance of privacy and space for the West Village, which can be enjoyed on day 1, or can be rearranged to suit anyone's needs. Additional features include integrated speakers throughout, and an A/V system wired to centralized closets, plus a Nest dual-zoned climate control for each side of the apartment via 2 separate HVACs. 2 boilers per side also provide an abundance of hot water.

Bedford Park Condominium is a boutique condo building in the West Village with only 12 units in total. Just steps away from all the best dining and shopping of the West Village, Greenwich Village, SoHo, and Hudson Square. Bedford Park has a virtual doorman system, part-time super, and complimentary laundry room.
This home offers a rare opportunity to own a true three-bedroom, full-floor home in one of downtown Manhattan's most desirable enclaves.

Greenwich Village | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Birthplace of beatniks, Greenwich Village has always been a neighborhood bursting with creativity, home to artists, poets, musicians and writers. There is a lot of foot traffic in the neighborhood, as it gives convenient access to many other neighborhoods. There are a lot of popular eateries on MacDougal Street and bars on Bleecker Street. The neighborhood has a bit of a college-town feel, due to the presence of NYU. There aren’t large chain stores here, so it isn’t really a mecca for shopaholics, but you can find interesting vintage stores and specialty boutiques.

Available housing is centered on pre-war walk-ups. You can find good deals on the quieter, tree-lined side streets, as opposed to the bustling avenues. There are pockets of brownstones and townhouses, some dating back to the early 19th century, throughout the neighborhood, as well. You will find more luxurious housing in the newer high-rise buildings on Park and Fifth Avenues.

Washington Square Park is the heart of the neighborhood. If you sit near the Arch and close your eyes, you might catch an echo of the music and social history of the Park, floating through the air. Greats like Joan Baez, Bob Dylan, and Paul Simon started their storied careers right here in Greenwich Village. Today, the Village is a celebration of diversity, where everyone is welcome.
