Property Description for 923 Bushwick Ave, 2-A

A rare, architecturally striking corner building set amid the lush, tree-lined streets and classic townhomes that define Brooklyn's enduring charm. With a commanding brick fa ade, and soaring oversized windows, this a bright and voluminous 2BR, 2BA home exudes timeless elegance.

10-foot ceilings and eight magnificent floor-to-ceiling windows bathe every corner in sunlight. Tree top views from the dramatic bay window set the tone for the open-concept living and dining area, seamlessly flowing into the L-shaped chef's kitchen complete with a Liebherr refrigerator, imported cooktop with vented hood, built-in oven, dishwasher, and exquisite black marble countertops.

The primary suite is a private retreat, featuring a king-size layout, a custom dual closet (with a window) and a spa-like ensuite bathroom with refined custom and colorful double sink and a sleek inset shower design. The second bedroom features floor to ceiling windows on two exposures filling the space with an abundance of dappled light through the mature trees lining the property.

A thoughtfully placed in-unit washer/dryer is discreetly tucked behind custom velvet curtains providing a touch of elegance along with modern convenience. The second full bathroom includes a deep soaking bathtub and updated fireclay floating sink, for a feeling of quiet luxury.

A boutique building, residents enjoy access to a rooftop terrace with sweeping skyline views of Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens, as well as deeded private storage and shared bike storage located at the Greene Avenue entrance.

Moments from the L and J subway lines, trendy restaurants and all the nightlife and culture that makes Bushwick consistently ranked among the top 10 neighborhoods in the country.

Bushwick | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

As one of the most diverse neighborhoods in New York, Bushwick offers a perfect snapshot of just how multicultural the city is. Long-established as an amalgam of cultures and ethnicities, a wave of varying types of immigrants trickled in from the seventeenth to twentieth centuries, with Bushwick largely becoming a home to Hispanics of Puerto Rican and Dominican backgrounds by the latter part of the twentieth century.

With the Bushwick Initiative of the mid-00s that aided in revitalization, it became an attractive area to young professionals and artists. And even now, Bushwick has sustained affordable rent prices where other North Brooklyn counterparts, like Williamsburg and Greenpoint, have become more expensive. Priding itself on the weird and the wacky, numerous art collectives thrive in this part of Brooklyn, once famously named the seventh coolest neighborhood in the world by Vogue.

Though it has drawn in many tourists in recent years (there’s even a graffiti tour you can take from the Bushwick Collective), the neighborhood remains very much community-oriented, and has not been subject to quite the same sort of corporate infiltration phenomenon of its nearby Williamsburg environs.

But yes, of course, Bushwick has come a very long way from its 80s and 90s reputation as being “The Well,” a nickname given to it for its free-flowing and widely available amount of drugs (quantity over quality being the cliche applied here).
