Property Description for 517 West 29th Street, 6-G

Residence?6G at 517?West?29th Street is a studio retreat that rises above Chelsea’s galleries and gardens, pairing loft-height ceilings with oversized windows that frame the neighborhood’s dynamic skyline. Step through the door onto six-inch Russian white-oak planks and you’ll notice how quietly luxury asserts itself: custom Italian cabinets by Uno?Contract anchor a sleek kitchen finished in honed Arabescato?Bluette marble and a full suite of Miele appliances, while discreet LED track lighting guides you toward a living area that’s equally ready for an intimate dinner or an impromptu art-walk after-party. The spa-inspired bathroom wraps you in Pelle?Grigio vein-cut marble; Waterworks fixtures, a five-foot linear drain, and a Calacatta?Lincoln-topped vanity elevate daily ritual into indulgence. An in-home LG washer and vented dryer keep life effortless, so you can spend more time enjoying the building’s curated pleasures—Jonathan?Adler’s Wi-Fi lounge, a sun-splashed fitness center, a landscaped courtyard with grills and communal tables, and a roof deck where sunsets stretch across the Hudson. With just sixty condominiums, 517?West?29th Street feels intimate yet plugged into everything: the High?Line at your doorstep, Hudson Yards a short stroll, and world-class dining, shopping, and culture in every direction. Below are the one-time fees due at submission of the condo board package:   $1,000 processing fee payable to Livingston Management Services, LLC. (cashier's check only) $500 sublease fee payable to the 517 West 29th Street Condominium (cashier's check only) $20/pp application fee (payable by credit card only on the 2nd page of the application form) $1,000 move in deposit for professional move ins, $2,500 move in deposit for personal move ins including furniture.  (These should be personal checks, which will not be cashed unless damage occurs and will be destroyed upon completion of move in.)   First month's rent & a one month security deposit are due at lease signing.   Please be aware that you are renting an apartment in a building which has a board approval process that takes 3-4 weeks. Due to the condo process it is crucial that you have flexibility on your move in date as your actual move in date may end up being later than the date on the lease. Renting in a condo brings additional one-time condo application fees paid directly to the condo board & building management. You will not be denied by the board as long as you meet the standard NYC financial requirements.

Chelsea | Manhattan

Quick Profile

The row houses portray the world-class architecture of Greek Revival, Italianate and Georgian styles. The population is both ethnically and socially diverse, which is reflected in the restaurants and retail businesses in the neighborhood.

Western Chelsea is the center of the NYC art world, where you will find more than 200 art galleries housed in rehabbed factories and warehouses, as well as in newly-constructed buildings.

While people of many different cultures call Chelsea home, it has been a mecca over the years for people in the LGBTQ community. One census reported that as many as 22% of its residents were gay couples. Eighth Avenue is a trendy area for LGBTQ-oriented dining and shopping. Although it no longer draws the LGBTQ population that it once did, Chelsea still has many popular alternative bars.

Chelsea is primarily residential, consisting of a mixture of diverse complexes, low-rise apartment blocks, tenements, townhouses, renovated row houses, and luxury high-rises.

Chelsea is an interesting and sought-after place to live, with unique clothing boutiques, restaurants, and delis representing cultures from around the world. In addition to its quirky establishments, Chelsea has fine dining restaurants and a vibrant, hip nightlife, which adds to its allure.

Chelsea is well-served by public transportation. At least six city bus routes traverse Chelsea. There are three NYC subway routes with stops on Seventh Avenue, three on Eighth Avenue, and two more on Sixth Avenue. The 34th Street - Hudson Yards Station opened in 2015 with its main entrance in Chelsea.
