Property Description for 570 Broome Street, PH-A

Penthouse A at 570 Broome Street in NYC is a full-floor residence where cinematic vision meets modern luxury. Designed and furnished by a movie set producer, every inch of this apartment feels like stepping onto the set of an award-winning film. The space exudes drama and sophistication, with carefully curated pieces that tell a story in every room. Arriving via a private elevator landing, you step directly into the apartment, greeted by a grand entrance that immediately showcases the expansive layout and breathtaking views. The living area, with its floor-to-ceiling windows, offers sweeping panoramas of the World Trade Center, the Hudson River, and the iconic skyline stretching north towards Hudson Yards. These vistas are perfectly framed like scenes from a film, bringing the city’s most famous landmarks into the heart of your home. The furnishings are a blend of vintage Hollywood glamour and contemporary design, with rich textures and bold colors that create a striking contrast against the sleek, minimalist architecture. In the dining area, a custom-made chandelier hovers like a spotlight, illuminating a table that looks as though it belongs in a grand banquet scene. The kitchen, equipped with state-of-the-art appliances, is both a chef’s dream and a visual masterpiece, with matte finishes and metallic accents that reflect the producer’s eye for detail. The bedrooms are sanctuaries of comfort, each designed with a unique theme in mind, as if preparing the space for a different genre of film. The master suite, in particular, feels like a luxurious retreat, with plush fabrics, ambient lighting, and a private terrace that offers a tranquil escape while providing stunning views of the city and river below. Every corner of Penthouse A is a testament to the movie set producer’s ability to blend function with fantasy, creating a home that is not just lived in, but experienced. This full-floor residence, with its private elevator landing and sweeping city views, is more than an apartment; it’s a stage set for the story of your life, with New York’s most breathtaking scenes as your backdrop. 570 Broome is a collection of ?fty-four contemporary residences that draw inspiration from the history and style of West SoHo. From acclaimed architect Tahir Demircioglu, with impeccable interiors by Skidmore, Owings and Merrill, the design references the area's industrial past via soaring ceiling heights and a silhouette evocative of staggered cubes. Quick Profile

Famous for its art galleries, designer boutiques, cobblestone streets and cast-iron architecture, SoHo has always been full of buzz - wowing both tourists and locals alike. It’s rich with history (more so than most neighborhoods). So, whether you’re a computer nerd, serial shopper or foodie, you’re guaranteed to find something exciting to do in this storied neighborhood.

SoHo is bounded by Houston Street to the north, Canal Street in the south, 6th Avenue to the west and Crosby Street on the east.

The neighborhood has gone through many ups and downs over its long history. Enough to make a voluminous history book. When the Dutch discovered Lower Manhattan, they came across indigenous people living on the island. Technically, the American Indians were the first Manhattanites and then the Dutch moved in making them the second original Manhattanites.

After the Civil War ended, the west side of Lower Manhattan flourished because the shipping routes changed. Textiles and the need for all types of products increased. Warehouses and large lofts were built and replaced farmland to accommodate the commerce. Many of those buildings are still standing and give SoHo its unique character and charm.

The bustling commerce eventually stopped and in the mid 1800’s, well-to-do families began moving into SoHo. They built exquisite buildings, many of which are characterized by their cast-iron facades. Soon after it became residential, theatres, music halls and eateries followed. The wealthy eventually left and the once prosperous district began another decline.

The 1960’s marks SoHo’s most definitive period. City planners lost their bid to build a major highway that would level a portion of the neighborhood and many historic buildings. After their failed attempt to revitalize SoHo, artists quickly moved into the empty lofts and warehouses. Some legally, and other move-ins, not so legal. The city turned a blind eye. Artists of all mediums working from their new creative spaces created a ripple in the art scene. It was such a ripple that the well-to-do uptown crowd started buying their art and hanging out with them. The uptown folks eventually moved into the neighborhood and began buying up the lofts and warehouses. As soon as the word spread, up went the property values and the rest is history.
