Property Description for 181 Hudson Street, 2-B

Please reach out to the listing agent, Michelle Griffith, at Douglas Elliman to schedule a tour.

Residence 2B, a pristine 850 square-feet one-bedroom condominium with low monthlies, offers a seamless blend of pre-war character and modern sophistication in the heart of North Tribeca.

Wide-plank white oak floors, soaring 10' ceilings, and oversized windows fill the loft with natural light, enhancing its airy layout. Original details, including matte black cast-iron beams and white brick walls, add warmth and authenticity. The chef's kitchen is outfitted with Wolf appliances, custom cabinetry, and abundant storage, while the spa-like marble bathroom provides a refined retreat. Central air and heat ensure year-round comfort.

Adding to its appeal, the home includes a 100 SQFT private storage room conveniently located on the same floor.

181 Hudson, a historic 1910 printing warehouse converted into a boutique 33-unit condominium, has recently undergone a facade restoration and features dual entrances on Hudson and Vestry Streets, new keyed elevators, a smart access system, and video intercom security. Perfectly positioned two blocks from Hudson River Park and close to SoHo, world-class dining, and the 1/2/3/A/C/E subway lines, the building is also just steps from 443 Greenwich and the acclaimed Hôtel Barrière Fouquet's, with the nearby Google and Disney campuses adding to the area's vibrancy.

Quick Profile

TriBeCa, named after the small geographic triangle below Canal Street. It’s not really a triangle, it's a quadrilateral and it's bounded by West Street, Broadway, and Chambers Street. It’s a little too late for a name change and besides, QuaBeCa doesn't sound half as cool as Tribeca.

One of New York City’s more notable acronymed neighborhoods, TriBeCa is known for its trendy boutiques, fabolous restaurants, historical landmarks, and resident celebrity lofts. It still holds the title of one of the coolest places to live in New York City.

TriBeCa is one of the first residential neighborhoods of New York City. Way back in 1700’s wealthy New Yorkers built homes and maintained gardens in what is now TriBeca.

Later in history it shifted from residential to warehouses, commerce and markets. After the Civil War, shipping hubs moved from the East River to the Hudson River and revitalized areas like the South Street Seaport and TriBeca. When shipping and commerce increased, the area soon became a favorite spot for wholesalers to store their goods in large industrial warehouses.

Just like its neighbor SoHo, TriBeCa boasts one of the world’s largest collections of wrought-iron facades and Neo-Grecian architecture.
