Property Description for 49 Chambers Street, 12-G

Offered Furnished or Unfurnished

Live at the intersection of history, design, and indulgence in one of Manhattan's grandest Beaux-Arts landmark buildings, where 20,000 square feet of curated resort-style amenities redefine luxury living.

This thoughtfully designed one-bedroom plus study, one-and-a-half bath home by Gabellini Sheppard blends timeless architectural elegance with modern craftsmanship. A wide entry gallery sets the tone, showcasing hickory hardwood floors in a custom chevron pattern and generous storage thoughtfully integrated throughout.

The open chef's kitchen is a work of art, pairing custom cerused Cypress cabinetry by Minimal Cucine with honed San Marino marble on the waterfall island, countertops, and backsplash. A best-in-class appliance suite includes a Sub-Zero side-by-side refrigerator and freezer, Gaggenau gas cooktop with vented hood, Wolf dual convection oven with warming drawer, Miele dishwasher, and wine refrigerator.

In the primary suite, soaring ceilings and an oversized bay window create a sense of volume and light. The en-suite bath-an homage to Roman bathing rituals-features honed white marble, bespoke Apaiser stone double vanities, luminous cove lighting, radiant-heated floors, and nickel-brushed Waterworks fixtures.

A stylish powder room adjacent to the study offers honed Athens Grey marble tile, a floating backlit mirror, Apaiser stone vanity, and Minimal Cucine cabinetry. Completing the home are a wet bar and a full-size washer/dryer.

Life at 49 Chambers comes with access to a private landscaped rooftop oasis with multiple lounge and dining areas, sun decks, and indoor/outdoor kitchens. Indoors, the amenity suite spans a 50" lap pool, steam room, sauna, fitness center with Peloton bikes, yoga/dance studio, virtual golf simulator, children's playroom, tween lounge, catering kitchen, screening room, and residents" lounge-all under the care of a 24-hour concierge.

Perched directly over City Hall Park with forever-protected views, 49 Chambers sits at the gateway to Tribeca, where cobblestone streets meet luxury boutiques, acclaimed dining, and everyday conveniences.

Tribeca | Manhattan

Quick Profile

TriBeCa, named after the small geographic triangle below Canal Street. It’s not really a triangle, it's a quadrilateral and it's bounded by West Street, Broadway, and Chambers Street. It’s a little too late for a name change and besides, QuaBeCa doesn't sound half as cool as Tribeca.

One of New York City’s more notable acronymed neighborhoods, TriBeCa is known for its trendy boutiques, fabolous restaurants, historical landmarks, and resident celebrity lofts. It still holds the title of one of the coolest places to live in New York City.

TriBeCa is one of the first residential neighborhoods of New York City. Way back in 1700’s wealthy New Yorkers built homes and maintained gardens in what is now TriBeca.

Later in history it shifted from residential to warehouses, commerce and markets. After the Civil War, shipping hubs moved from the East River to the Hudson River and revitalized areas like the South Street Seaport and TriBeca. When shipping and commerce increased, the area soon became a favorite spot for wholesalers to store their goods in large industrial warehouses.

Just like its neighbor SoHo, TriBeCa boasts one of the world’s largest collections of wrought-iron facades and Neo-Grecian architecture.
