This light-filled, beautiful and spacious East Village, modern, 1 bedroom apartment is available for sale. The owner has taken care of the apartment with love and it shows. You'll feel immediately welcome as you enter the generously sized foyer. The foyer has plenty of room and a south facing window over a courtyard, which lets in lovely light. There is also plenty of room for a large entry table and storage and it's a great space to set up your "work from home" office.
The entry foyer also boasts the much loved and quintessential NYC exposed brick, which seamlessly leads into the open kitchen with a beautiful island, stools, and generous counter space for cooking and entertaining.
The custom, built-in cabinetry in the living room is extremely well thought-out, and lends itself to even more, lovely storage in the apartment. There's more than enough room for an L-shaped couch, coffee table and chairs and entertainment system (or any configuration you desire) in the large living room. Perhaps you prefer to set up your desk and office in the living room, which has more than enough room for all of the above!
Bear right from the open living room and kitchen into your queen sized bedroom, which can also easily accommodate a bedside table and more. Not only that, but you have your very own walk-in closet!
149 Avenue C is situated on a quiet street across from the 9th Street Community Park and a CitiBike station, and is just a block away from the iconic Tompkins Square Park! The apartment is wonderful for those who loves to cook and entertain as well as anyone who wants to be in the heart of a vibrant, East Village neighborhood within a short distance of neighborhood coffee shops, restaurants, and bars.

Quick Profile
The East Village has two distinct moods. By day, it is quiet and peaceful. Everyone is out and about, either working or relaxing at Tompkins Square Park, strolling or jogging along the East River, or hanging out in one of the subsets of cultural activity, such as St. Mark’s Place.
But then night falls, and the East Village comes to life, keeping the entertainment and nightlife going long after the other neighborhoods have called it quits for the night. People from all five boroughs flock to the dive bars and speakeasies, head for their favorite cafes and restaurants, or drop in to a music venue to listen to hot tunes or cool jazz and dance the night away. Don’t worry, you don’t have to “know somebody” to gain admittance to even the most popular venues. You won’t find velvet ropes, bouncers, or and a waiting list at the door of most places. Just walk right in and enjoy yourself.
Be prepared for the increased population during fall through spring, when NYU is in session. College students will be everywhere, contributing to the youthful essense of the neighborhood.
