Property Description for 459 Washington Street, 4-S

Welcome to this impeccably reimagined three-bedroom, two-bath loft in the heart of northwestern Tribeca. With interiors recently profiled in leading design publications, this residence pairs the soul of a classic loft with a polished, editorial sensibility. Exposed brick, original cast-iron columns, and beamed ceilings anchor the home in Tribeca's architectural heritage, while curated finishes, bespoke lighting, and layered textures infuse a modern, design-forward aesthetic.

Western and southern exposures flood the 32-foot living and dining space with light throughout the day. The chef's kitchen combines form and function with a generous island, custom cabinetry, and a suite of high-end appliances, opening seamlessly into the entertaining areas.

The primary suite offers a serene retreat with a custom walk-in closet and spa-like bathroom featuring Calacatta marble, radiant heated floors, dual vanities, a free-standing soaking tub, and walk-in shower with Waterworks fixtures. Two secondary bedrooms enjoy ample closet space and access to a newly renovated bath with Italian porcelain finishes and a custom vanity. A dedicated laundry room with vented washer/dryer and additional storage completes the home.

459 Washington Street is a boutique condominium with a furnished rooftop deck overlooking the Hudson River. Just moments from the Hudson River Greenway, Whole Foods, and celebrated dining and shopping in Tribeca, SoHo, and Greenwich Village, with easy access to the 1, C, and E subway lines. Pets are welcome.

Beyond the interiors shown in photography, the residence has undergone compelling enhancements that heighten its design and distinction.

Tribeca | Manhattan

Quick Profile

TriBeCa, named after the small geographic triangle below Canal Street. It’s not really a triangle, it's a quadrilateral and it's bounded by West Street, Broadway, and Chambers Street. It’s a little too late for a name change and besides, QuaBeCa doesn't sound half as cool as Tribeca.

One of New York City’s more notable acronymed neighborhoods, TriBeCa is known for its trendy boutiques, fabolous restaurants, historical landmarks, and resident celebrity lofts. It still holds the title of one of the coolest places to live in New York City.

TriBeCa is one of the first residential neighborhoods of New York City. Way back in 1700’s wealthy New Yorkers built homes and maintained gardens in what is now TriBeca.

Later in history it shifted from residential to warehouses, commerce and markets. After the Civil War, shipping hubs moved from the East River to the Hudson River and revitalized areas like the South Street Seaport and TriBeca. When shipping and commerce increased, the area soon became a favorite spot for wholesalers to store their goods in large industrial warehouses.

Just like its neighbor SoHo, TriBeCa boasts one of the world’s largest collections of wrought-iron facades and Neo-Grecian architecture.
