Introducing a timelessly elegant masterpiece. Welcome to The Austin, a bespoke new development, where every detail is exquisitely designed from the ground up to an enduring standard of luxury, yet completely contemporary.

Nestled within the tranquility of what is a lush urban enclave, The Austin has arrived – inviting you to the future of Forest Hills. The seven-story collection of 98 residences transcends the condominium status quo with outstanding craftsmanship and world class amenities, surrounded by abundant tranquil green spaces.

You’ll be immediately drawn to Forest Hill’s quasi-European village surroundings, a charming neighborhood where streets are lined with Tudor homes and tulip trees. Truly an urban masterpiece in Queens, The Austin is surrounded by distinctive architecture, verdant greenery and a thriving commercial district — all within close proximity to Manhattan and surrounding communities.

This remarkable LEED Gold/Energy Star certified building, wifi-enabled for complete connectivity, is constructed to deliver a scale that’s truly exceptional. Distinctive design and gracious proportions, with generous tripled-paned windows, create an ambiance in which every residence is fully bathed in abundant light. These oversized windows, constructed of high-performance glass to be remarkably soundproof and energy efficient, are more than portals to the outside world; they’re a luxurious gateway to an elegantly harmonious lifestyle.

Convenience also is a top priority. You’ll appreciate the luxury of a parking garage with a dedicated EV charging station for every spot, allowing you to effortlessly power up your electric vehicle right at home. The Austin is committed to providing eco-friendly solutions that align with your modern lifestyle.

Penthouses

The exclusive penthouse collection exudes timeless luxury, boldly fashioned against the backdrop of endless views. Designed and constructed with meticulously crafted materials, The Austin’s penthouses are an exquisite masterpiece. Here you’ll also enjoy the flexibility of an additional room, a luxurious space ready to tailor to your unique style. It’s ideally suited to compose as you wish, perhaps an office or guest bedroom. Distinctive upgraded finishing details define the magnificence of these penthouses, including intricately patterned Chevron European engineered white oak throughout. The generously scaled rooms all flow seamlessly, creating an atmosphere of effortless grace.

Kitchens are truly a culinary masterpiece that embody world-class craftsmanship that inspires awe with an outstanding professionally-styled appliance package. Their impeccable design elements incorporate Scavolini custom cabinetry surrounded by gleaming Italian Carrera marble slab countertops with a Grohe faucet. A luxe full suite of innovative Viking appliances — refrigerator, induction cooktop with range hood insert, single wall oven, and dishwasher — is perfectly integrated into these sophisticated kitchens, which feature a Leibherr 18’’ wine refrigerator. The result is a new standard of elegance and functionality.

Bathrooms are fashioned for full-on pampering. Invitingly designed, they are outfitted with Scavolini vanities and sleek Robern medicine cabinets, premium leading-edge Toto toilets, Grohe designer fixtures and shower fittings, along with an electric towel warmer and radiant heated flooring in the primary bathroom.

It’s all even grander at the very top. The three top floor residences offer immediate accessibility to the outdoor spaces. Perched above the bustling cityscape, these magnificent penthouses are a symphony of modern design, lavish amenities and breathtaking views that redefine urban living. Life unfolds in a gracious expression of space, light and vistas.

Forest Hills | Queens

Quick Profile

Nestled in the heart of Queens, Forest Hills is primarily a residential area that offers the calmness of suburban living alongside the whirl of the big city. The contrasts are sharp. Take a stroll through the idyllic Forest Hills Gardens and you’ll find tree-lined streets and homes with manicured lawns. Cross the LIRR train tracks that slice through this neighborhood and you’re in a different world, one dominated by apartment complexes that straddle both sides of Queens Boulevard, one of the busiest and widest commercial streets in the city.

Forest Hills is first and foremost a community that has stood the test of time. It is a haven for families, young adults and retirees alike. It’s the kind of place that you visit for an outdoor summer concert and never want to leave. Who wouldn’t find the low-rise Tudor styled apartment buildings along Tennis Place and Burns Street alluring.

Plainly put, one can get anywhere from Forest Hills in a reasonable amount of time. Accessible transportation is a core virtue and not surprisingly, the introduction of subway lines to Forest Hills in the mid 1930s changed the neighborhood forever. By 1940, the population swelled to 32,000, more than three times the local population just twenty years earlier. Today Forest Hills is home to about 85,000 people and transportation is a key checkbox. You can not only commute to Manhattan below ground, but above ground as well via the LIRR from Station Square. The LIRR can deliver you to Penn Station in 15 minutes or eastward toward the Long Island beaches in forty.

Forest Hills High School at 110th Street between 66th Road and 67th Road anchors the far northern edge of Forest Hills, covering multiple city blocks. Fanning out from the high school are entire blocks of tree-lined streets with single-family homes. In contrast to the Gardens, these blocks are a mix of older and newer homes, even some McMansions.

There are two main streets that run through Forest Hills. Austin Street is an endless retail strip of local and national stores, many of which seem to be carved out of the tudor buildings that they occupy. Restaurants are aplenty and reflect the diverse cuisine of the neighborhood’s inhabitants. Queens Boulevard, once deemed the “most dangerous road in America,” is a 12-lane road (could be as wide as 16 lanes in some places) that represents the impact and consequences of urban sprawl. Queens Boulevard is literally a 7.5 mile sprint to and from the city through the heart of Queens.

As can be expected, the older variety of multi-family buildings in Forest Hills are largely low-rise prewars, typically five and six stories. They are split between co-ops and rental buildings. The newer post-war buildings, have grown taller as housing needs have changed. Most of these high-rise structures align Queens Boulevard and stand from 20 to 30 stories tall.
