Property Description for 317 Greene Ave, 4-B

This palatial penthouse condo duplex brings the drama. Coming in at nearly 1,300 square feet, this home has a sprawling, flexible floorplan currently used as a two bedroom - with additional bonus home office spaces - as well as a whopping three outdoor areas! Set on the top two floors of a modern condo development with a tax abatement ending in 2036, this home is perfectly situated on a beautiful tree-lined block at the border of Clinton Hill and Bed Stuy. As soon as you enter, you'll be greeted by a stunning wall of windows framing the large living/dining room with incredible 20-foot ceilings. This Great Room seamlessly flows into an open kitchen with modern appliances and bountiful counter space, all set around a central island with ample room for stool seating.

Down the wide hallway, find a tasteful home office with gorgeous floor-to-ceiling built-ins and lush custom drapes hung for added privacy. The bathroom has a deep soaking tub and is connected to a bright primary bedroom leading out to a charming balcony with enough space for a table and chairs. Upstairs on the second floor is a massive, open space that could be set up in a number of ways depending on your needs (see alternate floorplan). Upstairs, you'll also find a sunny roof deck perfect for gardening and relaxation. This home's storage space is amazing, with 7 closets throughout the unit. The apartment boasts central air conditioning, an in-unit washer & dryer and 3-inch wide oak wood flooring. Enjoy the incredibly low monthly costs of living here: $80 for monthly real estate taxes (tax abatement expires in 2036) and $544 for common charges.

317 Greene Avenue is a well-kept 8-unit building (part of the 48-unit Greene Avenue Condominium) set on a peaceful block with 3 beautiful community gardens! Nestled between vibrant Franklin & Classon Avenues, enjoy having Clementine Bakery and Speedy Romeo right on your corner. The G train at Classon is 2 blocks away and the C at Franklin is nearby. Pets are welcome. Stop by an open house, or be in touch for a viewing any time!

Bedford Stuyvesant | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

Known for its historic brownstones and tight-knit enclave, Bed-Stuy has increasingly left behind its early reputation for being a “bedroom community” and transcended into a highly desirable neighborhood.

Distinct for its aesthetic, it is populated with ornate buildings characterized by cornices, friezes, finials, fluting and other marks of classic architecture. Built up during the period from 1870 to 1900, its historic district runs to the north of Jefferson Avenue, to the east of Malcolm X Boulevard and to the west of Tompkins Avenue.

At one point known as “Brooklyn’s Little Harlem,” the shape of the area has shifted toward attracting a wider demographic of people thanks to the influx of bars, restaurants, antique furniture stores and vintage boutiques. More police enforcement paired with the decline of the crack epidemic at the beginning of the 2000s also opened the door for increased development, as well as the occupation of formerly abandoned buildings and spaces.
