Property Description for 6 Renaissance Court, 6-B

Welcome to Residence 6B, a fully renovated, floor-through, two-bedroom, one-and-a-half bathroom condo located one flight up, on perhaps the only quiet, tree-lined cul-de-sac in Bushwick. This move-in-ready home offers nearly 1,000 square feet of thoughtfully finished living space. The generous living area is graced by two oversized south- and north-facing windows, which flood the space with natural light. An open, windowed kitchen is equipped with stainless steel appliances, including a dishwasher, microwave, and gas range, along with white quartz countertops, custom cabinetry, and a breakfast bar. The primary bedroom accommodates a king-size bed, features a large walk-in closet, and boasts its own en-suite half-bathroom. The second bedroom also accommodates a king-size bed, has an additional walk-in closet, and is graced by a sunny south-facing window. The full bathroom includes a bathtub, storage, and modern fixtures. Additional features include a laundry room with a vented, stacked washer/dryer, multiple storage/coat closets, newly refinished oak hardwood flooring, ceiling fans, through-the-wall AC units, and custom lighting. The condo is part of a boutique townhouse community built in 2004, with low monthly costs, a shared outdoor space with a grill, and parking available for only $75/month (short wait list). Bushwick offers a lively mix of restaurants, nightlife, and cultural spots. Nearby favorites include Birdy’s, Roberta’s, Tinas Diner, Hanks Bar, Sweet Anaelle, Fermosa, Indika House, and Hart Bar. The property is close to a brand new, high-end FoodTown, Green Central Knoll park, and just a short walk to the J/M/Z and L trains.

Bushwick | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

As one of the most diverse neighborhoods in New York, Bushwick offers a perfect snapshot of just how multicultural the city is. Long-established as an amalgam of cultures and ethnicities, a wave of varying types of immigrants trickled in from the seventeenth to twentieth centuries, with Bushwick largely becoming a home to Hispanics of Puerto Rican and Dominican backgrounds by the latter part of the twentieth century.

With the Bushwick Initiative of the mid-00s that aided in revitalization, it became an attractive area to young professionals and artists. And even now, Bushwick has sustained affordable rent prices where other North Brooklyn counterparts, like Williamsburg and Greenpoint, have become more expensive. Priding itself on the weird and the wacky, numerous art collectives thrive in this part of Brooklyn, once famously named the seventh coolest neighborhood in the world by Vogue.

Though it has drawn in many tourists in recent years (there’s even a graffiti tour you can take from the Bushwick Collective), the neighborhood remains very much community-oriented, and has not been subject to quite the same sort of corporate infiltration phenomenon of its nearby Williamsburg environs.

But yes, of course, Bushwick has come a very long way from its 80s and 90s reputation as being “The Well,” a nickname given to it for its free-flowing and widely available amount of drugs (quantity over quality being the cliche applied here).
