Property Description for 135 East 54th Street, 15-B

This is your chance to live in a beautiful 1,420 Sq.Ft. corner two bedroom apartment located in an incredible condominium designed by the renowned architect Rosario Candela and situated in the heart of Midtown East. The Lex 54 Condominium perfectly highlights Candela's credited setback terraces and this irresistible apartment presents a prime example of that feature. Upon entering the apartment one is met with gorgeous mahogany flooring and a charming entry foyer which opens into a gracious brightly lit living area which seamlessly flows into a privatized dining alcove ideal for entertaining. Conveniently located off the dining area, lies the renovated windowed kitchen. It has been outfitted with stainless steel appliances, including a Miele dishwasher and a Sub-zero refrigerator, custom cabinetry, black granite countertops, large grey tiled flooring and a sizable pantry. From the dining alcove one can also access the expansive approximately 9.2ft. x 36.3ft terrace which offers exposures to the South, East and West including a view of the iconic Chrysler Building. If one follows the terrace west to it’s end, they will be rewarded with another entrance, this one leading into the second bedroom. Currently configured as a study with a renovated windowed en-suite full bathroom, a small alcove, which is an optimal space for a reading nook, and a built-in wooden cabinet. The primary bedroom lies to the right of the second bedroom, preceded by a brief vestibule which holds a large closet and the renovated primary bathroom with glass enclosed tiled shower. This area has the option of being closed off for privacy or can remain open to act as a guest bath, while keeping the bedroom private. The spacious primary bedroom faces south and contains two large closets. This apartment is available Furnished or Unfurnished. Lex 54 Condominium is a neighbor to numerous iconic NYC attractions including museums, restaurants, shopping, and the theatre. It is located within easy distance of subways, grocery stores and Central Park. The buildings amenities include a full-time doorman, two elevators, a laundry room, bike and storage rooms and renovated hallways and lobby. Pets and Pied-a-terre’s are welcome!

Midtown East | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Midtown West and Midtown East have a lot in common. They’re bustling, iconic, and full of people. But just like siblings, their personalities can be vastly different. Midtown East is a bit more sophisticated and doesn’t quite have the vivacity and unruliness that its westerly counterpart exudes.

Midtown East is bordered by 42nd to the south, 59th Street to the north, 5th Avenue to the west, and 3rd Avenue to the east.

The neighborhood is famous for its high-end stores, tourist attractions, posh hotels (budget ones too), and iconic architecture. Midtown East is also one of the largest financial and business hubs in Manhattan. During normal business hours the sidewalks are full of commuters and people moving from point A to point B. In the early evening, when the masses have left for the day, things suddenly get a little quieter and the sidewalks have a lot less foot traffic.

Although largely a commercial neighborhood, residential areas of Midtown East do exist on the eastern section of the neighborhood.

Grand Central Station is located in Midtown East and like Midtown West, it’s an extremely commutable neighborhood. The 4, 5, 6, 7 and S trains whisk people in and out of the neighborhood 24 hours a day. Grand Central Station also serves as a hub for New York State and Connecticut commuter rails. These trains can take you anywhere along the Hudson River or up into Connecticut. It’s perfect for day tripping.
