Property Description for 130 William Street, 16-A

As the epicenter of arts, architectural enchantments and dining destinations, New York City wears many crowns and this property, designed by award-winning visionary architect Sir David Adjaye, is one of them. Residence 16A is a studio home offering a layout rich in space with soaring ceilings for added luxury. The decadent setting is enhanced by the oversized arched windows with elegant bronze detailing throughout. Upon entry you are greeted by wide-plank, white oak flooring that flows underfoot, leading you to the open kitchen where the home chef can immerse themselves in custom Pedini Italian textured blackened oak cabinetry, Salvatori Pietra Cardosa marble countertops, a backsplash hand-selected from the Apuan Alps in Tuscany and finished indulgently with state-of-the-art Gaggenau and Bosch appliances. The equally lavish bathroom offers a place of sanctuary to unwind from a busy day, with Italian marble and radiant heated floors. Residents have access to a host of lifestyle and wellness amenities including a full-scale health club, basketball court and entertainment facilities including an IMAX theater and rooftop deck. A 24-hour lobby, pet spa and concierge are just a few of the extra services.

Seaport District | Manhattan

Quick Profile

The Seaport District sits between the Financial District to the south and the Brooklyn Bridge to the north. The original Seaport designation was limited to the streets east of Water Street from Fletcher Street to Dover Street and incorporated the actual Seaport and the piers. But no more. Today, the neighborhood boundaries have expanded westward toward Park Row and include a surge of new developments in the area around Pace University and City Hall Park.

This is not your father’s Seaport. It is no longer a commercial hub and the seafood industry, which operated out of the port for nearly two hundred years, has been displaced. The older low-rise buildings that line these cobblestoned streets have been repositioned, the SouthBridge towers complex to the east of Water Street has gone free market, multiple commercial buildings have been converted to residential usage and new gleaming residential towers are rising on the site of the iconic J&R Music World which once lined the east side of Park Row.

Still, the Seaport is a small neighborhood, particularly quaint just north of Beekman Street. The streets are dominated by century-old warehouses and maritime buildings which gives the neighborhood its overt character. The Brooklyn Bridge, on its northern edge, looms in the backdrop.
