Property Description for 5 Tudor City Place, 1132

Don't miss this high-floor, one-bedroom stunner in Tudor City's most sought-after co-op - Windsor Tower.   Perched perfectly with unobstructed East River views, this spacious corner one-bed/one-bed is all you could ask for in a classic pre-war setting.    As you enter, you're greeted with the glow of eastern light showcased in classic casement windows.   The living/dining space is comfortable and generous at every turn.  It offers ample space for a dining table, a living room setup, and even a small office space.   It is complemented by pristine hardwood oak floors and an elegant 8'6" beamed ceiling.  Tying the living space together is an open chef's kitchen clad in stainless steel appliances.    At nearly 12x14, the dual exposure primary bedroom offers space for a reading nook or office space beyond a king-sized bed.  It is highlighted by a huge walk-in closet that can easily accommodate a wardrobe of any size.   The windowed en-suite bathroom offers spa-like zen and is clad in elegant tiling with a darling vanity/mirror combo.   Rounding out this lovely home are two large closets in the foyer area, updated lighting, and chic stripped doors/doorframes throughout. Not to mention, electricity is included in the reasonable monthly maintenance.    5 Tudor City Place is a full-service cooperative in every sense of the word.   Beyond the 24-hour doorman and concierge services and live-in resident manager, it offers a full fitness center, state-of-the-art laundry room (with a river view), storage for rent, and even a convenience store in the lobby!   All this is one of Manhattan's most tranquil enclaves, Tudor City.  With its charming European-style storefronts, green spaces and parks at every turn, and iconic East River views, it's a wonder you're only a few blocks from Grand Central and the convenience of Midtown.    Pets allowed with board approval. The building allows 75% financing, guarantors, pied-a-terre usage, parents buying for children, gifts, and subletting allowed after owning for 3 years. Note, photos have been virtually staged,

Tudor City | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Compared to other New York City neighborhoods Tudor City is a bit different. For starters, it's not very big. And technically it's not a neighborhood, it's more along the lines of a residential enclave of Tudor style buildings and parks. Even with the large neon sign boldly exclaiming the enclave's name, Tudor CIty is still a little tricky to find.

Located on the southern edge of Turtle Bay, Tudor City borders Murray Hill and lies on a low cliff which is just east of Second Avenue between 40th and 43rd Street. It overlooks the grounds of the United Nations along First Avenue and the East River beyond.

Tudor City is considered one of the world’s first skyscraper apartment complexes. This was considered a remarkable feat in 1929. Early marketing material, aimed at the middle class, described the development as well-planned, well-built, and well-priced housing. Developer Fred F. Finch designed Tudor City to keep middle class residents in Manhattan as many were fleeing the city for the suburbs.
