Property Description for 71 Ocean Parkway, 6-N

THE QUINTESSENTIAL NEW YORK CITY PRE-WAR APARTMENT. Incredibly spacious, this top floor 2-bedroom co-op offers gorgeous pre-war style, original parquet floors, 9' tall ceilings, and stunning archways & moldings. Truly the nexus of classic charm and contemporary style, Apt. 6N at 71 Ocean Parkway offers the warmth and graciousness of a classic sprawling city dwelling, with tasteful and thoughtful updates including a beautifully renovated kitchen, windowed bathroom with deep soaking tub, modern light fixtures, and high-efficiency Friedrich window air-conditioning pre-installed. This incredible home is the opposite of a cookie-cutter space!

The windowed eat-in kitchen features striking dove grey Shaker-style cabinetry all the way up to the ceiling, a stainless-steel appliance package, snow white quartz countertops, and a cheerful breakfast nook or home office area. In addition to an entry hall/gallery there is a separate foyer (almost another room in itself), which could accommodate a dining table or work-from-home space.
The foyer leads into a tremendous living & dining room that offers unlimited possibilities to arrange the space to suit your needs. Each oversized bedroom can easily accommodate a King bed with nightstands, plus a dresser, desk, crib, or separate sitting or play area. Custom blinds and lighted ceiling fans have been installed in each bedroom. The rooms are so large that many homeowners have created separate work or sleep areas in one or both rooms. As if all this weren't enough, the abundant closet space is beyond your wildest dreams!

71 Ocean Parkway is an architecturally stunning building with a unique entry courtyard and lovely landscaping. Built in 1936, this cherished Windsor Terrace co-op is financially stable, impeccably maintained, and pet friendly. Amenities include an elevator, central laundry room, live-in super, gym, bike room and storage (subject to availability). Located just 1.5 blocks to Prospect Park and 3 blocks to the F/G train, plus close by you'll find a dog park and ample shopping & dining.

Windsor Terrace | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

The tiny, comma-shaped neighborhood of Windsor Terrace is bookended between two of Brooklyn’s largest green spaces, Prospect Park and the massive Green-Wood cemetery. Aside from the presence of the Prospect Park Expressway, which dissects the neighborhood in two, this residential community offers a suburban sensibility with its tree-lined streets, low volume traffic and the low height character of its streetscape.

Many homes in the area are low to the ground, lending a suburban feel to the neighborhood, and the area has been down-zoned to maintain its low-rise appeal and character. There are plentiful brick row houses that have very low turnover. If you are lucky enough to buy or rent one, you tend to hold on to it. There are also small apartment buildings, private homes, condos and multi-family homes in a wide price range

There is commercial development along Prospect Park West, Fort Hamilton Parkway and Prospect Avenue, but even these new stores and restaurants are mostly family-owned and operated, maintaining the small-town charm. The pace of life is slower. The schools are good, which is a big draw for families with young children. The people are friendly, which gives a real sense of neighborhood and community to Windsor Terrace.
