Property Description for 1450 Pacific Street, 1

Welcome to 1450 Pacific Street, a rare iconic Landmark in the heart of Crown Heights Historic District. This freestanding, ornate, Victorian is a fairy-tale home. The recent spectacular restoration made it a star of OPEN HOUSE NY 2024 as well as a winner of the prestigious NYC Landmarks Award in 2025.

Open House: Sunday, December 21th 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Unit #1 is a dream home and designer's showcase - a townhouse-sized duplex with 4 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, an enormous rear yard and private front patio. Every inch of its thoughtful and supremely tasteful design stands out.

The grand entrance starts at the ornamental, wraparound front porch that is the pride of the neighborhood. Enter a lobby with colorful handmade Moroccan tile and restored original wood moldings and find yourself in a spectacular parlor space with high ceilings surrounded by enormous soaring windows decorated with the original molding and an ornate wood arch with custom cabinetry. A gas fireplace and original wood mantel add warmth and elegance. The white oak hardwood floor has a unique chevron pattern.

Off of the parlor is a grand sized Victorian inspired kitchen. It offers fully custom cabinets with European hardware and top-of-the-line appliances, including: built-in 36" Fisher & Paykel Fridge panel, 36" six burner range by Bertazzoni, Bosch D/W. The Island is topped by stunning marble and features an imported brass bridge kitchen faucet by Perrin & Rowe. Directly off of the kitchen, step out onto your private, unique, oversized front patio for grill time.

Continue towards the back of the house to the first bedroom and a radiantly red half bath with a throwback reproduction pull-chain toilet imported from England. Next you will enter the master suite with its own restored bay window and built-in cushioned bench. The room is south facing and filled with sun through its two floor to ceiling windows, giving a spectacular view of the backyard. Adjacent is another bedroom that can be used as a nursery, dressing room or an office. The master bath features an arched shower and designer floor tile pattern. Plumbing hardware is by Victorion imported from England.

To reach the lower lever you will use an elegant, open, white oak staircase, which visually connects the two levels. Here you will enjoy a vast space that can be furnished in various ways to accommodate a dream family living life. It is from here that you can walk straight into your outdoor terraced stone patio which leads you further into a rare, beautiful 50 ft wide landscaped yard.

The lower level also includes another beautifully designed bathroom with gorgeous handmade tile, another bedroom and oversized LG washer dryer. The unit also features central air, smart dimmers, and radiant heating in all of the bathrooms.

Located near Brower Park and the Brooklyn Children's Museum, with easy access to the 3 and A/C trains. It is truly the most beautiful space currently on the market in the Crown Heights area. Come and fall in love with this ultra-special home. Available Feb, 1st 2026.

Disclaimer: A non-refundable rental application and credit check fee of $20 is required per applicant and/or guarantor. Additional move-in costs include the first month's rent and a security deposit equal to one month's rent.

Crown Heights | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

Originally known as Crown Hill by the Lenape Indians that lived there, Crown Heights has evolved into a diverse neighborhood, occupied primarily by Hasidic Jews and one of the largest Caribbean populations to be found anywhere outside of the West Indies.

Head over to Nostrand Avenue, one of the main West Indian commercial areas in the neighborhood, which is lined with stores that have been in those exact same places for generations, providing their goods and services to area residents. Kingston Avenue has similar commercial activities that support the Jewish community, and Franklin Avenue shows the most signs of change and gentrification, with an ever-expanding mix of yoga studios, coffee shops, and organic grocery stores that serve the influx of young professionals. No matter which of these areas you visit, you will find an interesting mix of businesses that you wouldn’t normally picture as existing side-by-side. It is all part of the cultural diversity of Crown Heights.

The neighborhood is bisected, from east to west, by Eastern Parkway, which is a beautiful, 3-mile-long boulevard lined with mature trees. This leafy oasis was designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, famed designer of Central Park, the Biltmore Estate in North Carolina, and the U. S. Capitol in Washington, D. C.

You will find a mix of low-rise apartment buildings, large middle-class elevator buildings, brownstones, and some luxury buildings. Century-old architecture stands next to modern residential developments in a visually interesting mix of styles, much as the diversity of the residents exists. People who would not normally meet and mix are forging new pathways to cultural understanding by working, living, and playing together in the same neighborhood.
