Property Description for 471 Washington Street, TH-C

Townhouse living within a full-service condominium is now available at 471 Washington Street, with low monthly carrying costs. Residence 1C is an exceptionally designed two-bedroom plus home office with generous proportions across its approximately 2,650 square feet of interior space plus almost 700 square feet of private outdoor space.

Upon entering the foyer, the scale of the great room is immediately apparent with 11-foot ceilings flanked by oversized windows with both northern and southern exposures. The living area is an ideal place to entertain with a formal sitting area and has easy access to the 652 square foot private garden allowing for indoor-outdoor living. The dining area is adjacent to the open kitchen outfitted with an integrated appliance package, wine refrigerator, marble countertops and a center island with additional seating. A powder room, entry coat closet and additional storage underneath the stairs complete the main level.

Descending downstairs leads to the home's extra-large media room that offers flexibility for many uses including the current set up as a playroom and an additional sleeping area. The lower level has been thoughtfully reimagined with built-ins providing storage, a full laundry room and the second powder room.

The second floor is dedicated to the bedroom suites offering privacy and reprieve from the busy city life. The primary suite perfectly blends luxury and comfort through the well-proportioned bedroom with 11-foot floor-to-ceiling windows and a private balcony. The windowed en-suite bath is a spa-like experience with two sinks and double showers clad in marble. The secondary bedroom is also generous in size and equally sublime with its own en-suite bathroom.

471 Washington Street is a boutique full-service condominium located in prime Tribeca. The building offers 24-hour attended lobby, resident manager and storage. The building is situated near Tribeca's best restaurants, transportation and Hudson River Park's attractions such as Pier 25, which features Manhattan's only 18-hole miniature golf course, beach volleyball courts, and a turf field, and the newly completed Pier 26 Science Playground. Tribeca | Manhattan

Quick Profile

TriBeCa, named after the small geographic triangle below Canal Street. It’s not really a triangle, it's a quadrilateral and it's bounded by West Street, Broadway, and Chambers Street. It’s a little too late for a name change and besides, QuaBeCa doesn't sound half as cool as Tribeca.

One of New York City’s more notable acronymed neighborhoods, TriBeCa is known for its trendy boutiques, fabolous restaurants, historical landmarks, and resident celebrity lofts. It still holds the title of one of the coolest places to live in New York City.

TriBeCa is one of the first residential neighborhoods of New York City. Way back in 1700’s wealthy New Yorkers built homes and maintained gardens in what is now TriBeca.

Later in history it shifted from residential to warehouses, commerce and markets. After the Civil War, shipping hubs moved from the East River to the Hudson River and revitalized areas like the South Street Seaport and TriBeca. When shipping and commerce increased, the area soon became a favorite spot for wholesalers to store their goods in large industrial warehouses.

Just like its neighbor SoHo, TriBeCa boasts one of the world’s largest collections of wrought-iron facades and Neo-Grecian architecture.
