Property Description for 11 Beach Street, TH-C

Introducing Townhouse C at 11 Beach Street, a gracious four-bedroom home designed by Thomas Juul-Hansen. Located in a boutique, white glove condominium in prime Tribeca, Townhouse C shares the advantages of premier condo living while enjoying one of Manhattan's most desirable amenities: an in-unit private pool. Spanning nearly 5,000 square feet and enjoying southern exposures, the residence is remarkable in both scale and finish. Enter either through the lobby or via a private entrance on Beach Street to the great room, where 12 foot ceilings and incredible oversized windows afford the room all-day light. This vast space includes room for multiple seating arrangements, formal dining for 10, and a massive chef's kitchen. The massive marble island has bar seating for four and an ample workspace for even the most ambitious of chefs. Top-of-the-line appliances from Miele and Sub-Zero, including a full-size wine refrigerator, double ovens, and double microwave/convection oven make this ideal for both entertaining and daily life. Whereas the public spaces are open concept, upstairs the bedroom level is secluded and private. To the right is the den, a quiet enclave for relaxing; a full laundry room is tucked behind the far wall. The remainder of the floor is dedicated to the bedroom suites. The south-facing primary bedroom includes two walk-in closets, and a spa-like bathroom finished with hand-selected marble that covers the floor and walls. All bathroom fixtures are by Dornbracht, including the double vanity, stall shower, and separate tub. Each of the three additional bedrooms includes an en-suite bathroom and ample closet space. Downstairs is the spa level, a serene oasis whose epicenter is the 35-foot stainless steel pool. Hardly an afterthought, the quality of finish matches the excellence found in the upper floors, with 360 degrees of imported stone, a steam room with rain shower, a dry sauna, a powder room and multiple zones for relaxing or exercising. 11 Beach Street is a boutique condominium conversion of only 27 residences. It offers 24-hour door staff, a gym underneath a grand skylight, a common courtyard, a common roof deck, and a children's playroom. Located in north Tribeca, the condo offers convenient access to some of the city's best restaurants, hotels, bars, and cafés, as well as Hudson River Park and multiple public transit lines. Taxes listed are inclusive of the NYC co-op/condo abatement.

Quick Profile

TriBeCa, named after the small geographic triangle below Canal Street. It’s not really a triangle, it's a quadrilateral and it's bounded by West Street, Broadway, and Chambers Street. It’s a little too late for a name change and besides, QuaBeCa doesn't sound half as cool as Tribeca.

One of New York City’s more notable acronymed neighborhoods, TriBeCa is known for its trendy boutiques, fabolous restaurants, historical landmarks, and resident celebrity lofts. It still holds the title of one of the coolest places to live in New York City.

TriBeCa is one of the first residential neighborhoods of New York City. Way back in 1700’s wealthy New Yorkers built homes and maintained gardens in what is now TriBeca.

Later in history it shifted from residential to warehouses, commerce and markets. After the Civil War, shipping hubs moved from the East River to the Hudson River and revitalized areas like the South Street Seaport and TriBeca. When shipping and commerce increased, the area soon became a favorite spot for wholesalers to store their goods in large industrial warehouses.

Just like its neighbor SoHo, TriBeCa boasts one of the world’s largest collections of wrought-iron facades and Neo-Grecian architecture.
