Stylishly renovated in 2022 and impeccably taken care of, this bright and open residence boasts nine oversized windows, oak strip hardwood floors, more than 9-foot ceilings, exposed brick, and clever built ins throughout. The eye-catching windowed kitchen is anchored by custom hardwood cabinetry commissioned especially for the space from an Amish master craftsman. Complete with a fully vented Viking stove, Fisher-Paykel refrigerator and double-drawer dishwasher, the renovation features unlacquered brass hardware, ample countertop space (including a breakfast bar), and incredible storage. Each of the quiet and peaceful king-sized bedrooms feature large custom closets, and the windowed bathroom has a combination shower/tub and - again - more great storage.
One block from Tompkins Square Park, this pet-friendly and financially sound self-managed co-op features free washer/dryers on each floor (and only shared with one other unit), video intercom security, a garbage chute, bike storage, and a live-in super. Unlimited subletting allowed after one year of residency with board approval. The L train (with its new elevator accessible entrance on Avenue A and 14th) and all the Union Square subways are close by, as are Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, Target, and all this singular neighborhood's best restaurants, nightlife and boutiques. Very special apartment that is the opposite of cookie cutter!

Quick Profile
The East Village has two distinct moods. By day, it is quiet and peaceful. Everyone is out and about, either working or relaxing at Tompkins Square Park, strolling or jogging along the East River, or hanging out in one of the subsets of cultural activity, such as St. Mark’s Place.
But then night falls, and the East Village comes to life, keeping the entertainment and nightlife going long after the other neighborhoods have called it quits for the night. People from all five boroughs flock to the dive bars and speakeasies, head for their favorite cafes and restaurants, or drop in to a music venue to listen to hot tunes or cool jazz and dance the night away. Don’t worry, you don’t have to “know somebody” to gain admittance to even the most popular venues. You won’t find velvet ropes, bouncers, or and a waiting list at the door of most places. Just walk right in and enjoy yourself.
Be prepared for the increased population during fall through spring, when NYU is in session. College students will be everywhere, contributing to the youthful essense of the neighborhood.
