Property Description for 76-12 35th Ave, 2-D

Welcome to Residence 2D at 76-12 35th Avenue, a beautifully updated two-bedroom, two-bath cooperative located in The Warwick, a well-maintained 1940 elevator building in the heart of Jackson Heights. The Warwick is a six-story, 81-unit cooperative known for its stately entrance, manicured front garden, and elegant lobby featuring an opulent ceiling and decorative centerpiece fireplace. The building is thoughtfully divided into East and West wings and offers a live-in superintendent, laundry room, bicycle storage, additional basement storage, and a common garden for residents to enjoy. Residence 2D has been thoughtfully renovated, with the kitchen, hallway, and both bathrooms fully updated in 2022. The spacious, modern kitchen was completely reimagined with new cabinetry, plumbing, flooring, and appliances, and features a quartz countertop bar with an opening into the living room, creating an ideal layout for both everyday living and entertaining. Appliances include a GE Profile refrigerator and stove, Bosch dishwasher and speed oven, and a Kraus sink and faucet. Both bathrooms were redesigned with quality finishes. The en-suite bath includes a Kohler stand-in shower, while the second bathroom features a Kohler bathtub. Shower systems and faucets are by Moen. High-end lighting fixtures were installed throughout as part of the renovation. Storage is generous and well organized, including a large hallway closet with sliding doors outfitted with a custom Elfa system, a primary bedroom closet with bi-fold doors and custom Elfa system, and an additional spacious standalone closet in the second bedroom. The apartment enjoys excellent natural light throughout, with both bedrooms receiving afternoon sun. The open kitchen and adjacent living room create a warm and inviting central space that functions beautifully for gatherings, meals, and everyday comfort. Located on a quieter stretch of Jackson Heights, the building offers a sense of calm while remaining just blocks from neighborhood shopping, cafés, restaurants, pubs, and the weekend Greenmarket. Nearby is Travers Park, a 2-acre community park with basketball and tennis courts and a children’s playground. The park also includes handball courts, a dog run, picnic tables, benches, tables, a bicycle rack, restroom facilities, and a lawn. In 2012, a segment of adjacent 78th Street was transformed into a permanent Street Plaza, and additional recreational space was incorporated into the park, further enhancing this valued neighborhood amenity. Paseo Park along 34th Avenue provides additional open space and pedestrian-friendly pathways. Transportation is easily accessible approximately four blocks away via the 7, E, F, M, and R subway lines, offering a convenient commute to Midtown Manhattan in about 25 minutes. Residence 2D offers a move-in ready opportunity within a classic prewar cooperative, combining thoughtful renovations, generous proportions, and a vibrant, well-connected Queens location.

Jackson Heights | Queens

Quick Profile

Jackson Heights has one of the most diverse populations in the city, and over 100 languages are spoken here. With this cultural diversity comes supporting restaurants, bars, shops and cultural opportunities. It is a mix of commercial and residential properties. There is a wide range of shops and service businesses, so that anything you would need, from a barber, to a pharmacy, to clothing, and food is available right in the neighborhood, no matter which culture or language you might need these services provided in.

Jackson Heights has three nicknames, based on micro-neighborhoods with the neighborhood as a whole. Little India occupies an area on 74th Street, while parts of 73rd Street are known as Little Pakistan. Little Columbia is along 37th Avenue.

A large portion of Jackson Heights has been designated as an historic district, from Roosevelt Avenue to Northern Boulevard, between the east side of 76th Street to the west side of 88th Street.

Jackson Heights was a planned community, where the first “garden apartments” were created in buildings constructed around central gardens and green spaces that gave neighbors a place to meet and socialize with one another, created places for children to play, allowing light to come into the apartments and air to flow freely through them. These gardens are private and only residents have access to them. Passing by the buildings, you might not even guess the gardens were there, as they are not generally visible from the street.

Additionally, there are some mid-rise apartment buildings. Some of these are rentals, some are co-ops, and some are condos. There are a few attached row houses that provide housing for one to three families.

As much as Jackson Heights might be full of noise and mix of cultures, it also has a quieter side, where the various cultures mix and mingle and learn about each other against a backdrop of beautiful architecture and a culinary landscape that brings the world to Queens.
