Property Description for 685 Chauncey Street

A 2 family townhouse with a private garage, 685 Chauncey Street presents a rare opportunity to own a flexible, income-capable townhouse with multiple private living spaces, ideal for end users seeking scale and versatility, or buyers looking to combine lifestyle and investment under one roof.

The garden-level and upper residence flow together as a thoughtfully designed multi-level home, anchored by generous proportions, abundant natural light, and modern finishes throughout. A private garage, adds everyday convenience and long-term value, while in-home laundry further elevates functionality.

The lower level begins with a private primary suite, offering excellent separation and privacy. This sun-filled retreat features a walk-in closet and en-suite bath, creating a peaceful escape within the home. Just above, an expansive living and dining level unfolds where an open-concept layout connects seamlessly to a well-appointed kitchen. Custom cabinetry, a classic subway tile backsplash, and a full suite of stainless steel strike the ideal balance between style and utility.

Additional bedrooms across both levels are generously sized, each with hardwood floors and custom closets. Several feature en-suite bathrooms, while others benefit from oversized windows or dramatic skylights that flood the interiors with natural light. A versatile bonus room offers endless possibilities-home office, den, creative studio, or guest space-allowing the home to evolve with your needs.

Whether configured as a single expansive residence, a live/work setup, or a hybrid owner-occupied home with income potential, 685 Chauncey Street delivers flexibility rarely found in today's market.

Perfectly positioned near the J, Z, M, and L subway lines, commuting throughout Brooklyn and into Manhattan is effortless. The surrounding neighborhood continues to thrive, with local favorites such as Salud Bar & Grill and The Evergreen just moments away, alongside an ever-growing mix of cafes, restaurants, and neighborhood staples

Bushwick | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

As one of the most diverse neighborhoods in New York, Bushwick offers a perfect snapshot of just how multicultural the city is. Long-established as an amalgam of cultures and ethnicities, a wave of varying types of immigrants trickled in from the seventeenth to twentieth centuries, with Bushwick largely becoming a home to Hispanics of Puerto Rican and Dominican backgrounds by the latter part of the twentieth century.

With the Bushwick Initiative of the mid-00s that aided in revitalization, it became an attractive area to young professionals and artists. And even now, Bushwick has sustained affordable rent prices where other North Brooklyn counterparts, like Williamsburg and Greenpoint, have become more expensive. Priding itself on the weird and the wacky, numerous art collectives thrive in this part of Brooklyn, once famously named the seventh coolest neighborhood in the world by Vogue.

Though it has drawn in many tourists in recent years (there’s even a graffiti tour you can take from the Bushwick Collective), the neighborhood remains very much community-oriented, and has not been subject to quite the same sort of corporate infiltration phenomenon of its nearby Williamsburg environs.

But yes, of course, Bushwick has come a very long way from its 80s and 90s reputation as being “The Well,” a nickname given to it for its free-flowing and widely available amount of drugs (quantity over quality being the cliche applied here).
