Property Description for 108 Leonard Street, 5-D

Please note that all Open Houses are By Appointment Only.

Welcome to Residence 5D at the iconic 108 Leonard Street, a luxury landmark condominium in the heart of Tribeca. This spacious one- bedroom, one- and- a- half- bath residence offers refined finishes, soaring ceiling heights, and exceptional storage throughout, creating a home that is both elegant and thoughtfully designed.

A gracious entry gallery sets the tone for the residence and creates a sense of arrival rarely found in one- bedroom homes. The gallery provides access to a stylish powder room and in- unit washer and dryer before opening into the expansive Great Room, where oversized windows fill the space with natural light and highlight the striking chevron- patterned oak flooring finished in a crisp ash palette. The well- proportioned layout offers excellent separation between living and dining areas, making the home ideal for both everyday living and effortless entertaining.

The open Scavolini windowed kitchen is beautifully integrated into the living space and anchored by a sculptural waterfall island. Arabescato Cervaiole marble countertops and backsplash pair with sleek custom cabinetry and a fully paneled Miele appliance suite, creating a kitchen that is as functional as it is visually striking. An oversized walk- in closet located off the main living space provides exceptional storage rarely seen in a one- bedroom residence.

Privately positioned on the opposite side of the home, the primary suite serves as a peaceful retreat. The bedroom features dramatic windows and generous proportions, while a dedicated dressing room with custom closet space leads into the spa- inspired en- suite bathroom. Finished in honed Calacatta marble walls and floors, the bathroom features a custom double vanity and oversized walk- in shower, offering a tranquil, hotel- quality experience.

Originally designed by the legendary architectural firm McKim, Mead & White in the Italian Renaissance Revival style, 108 Leonard Street has been masterfully reimagined for modern living by the award- winning hospitality design firm Jeffrey Beers International. The result is a rare combination of historic grandeur and contemporary luxury.
Residents are welcomed through three grand and beautifully restored lobbies and enjoy over 20,000 square feet of curated wellness and lifestyle amenities. These include a state- of- the- art fitness center, stunning indoor swimming pool, residents' lounge, children's playroom, and a beautifully furnished rooftop terrace offering a peaceful escape above the city.

Perfectly positioned in the heart of Tribeca, the residence is moments from some of downtown's most celebrated restaurants including Locanda Verde and Frenchette, as well as boutique shopping, parks, and convenient access to the 4/5/6/, A/ C/ E, 1/ 2/ 3, and R/ W subway lines.

Quick Profile

TriBeCa, named after the small geographic triangle below Canal Street. It’s not really a triangle, it's a quadrilateral and it's bounded by West Street, Broadway, and Chambers Street. It’s a little too late for a name change and besides, QuaBeCa doesn't sound half as cool as Tribeca.

One of New York City’s more notable acronymed neighborhoods, TriBeCa is known for its trendy boutiques, fabolous restaurants, historical landmarks, and resident celebrity lofts. It still holds the title of one of the coolest places to live in New York City.

TriBeCa is one of the first residential neighborhoods of New York City. Way back in 1700’s wealthy New Yorkers built homes and maintained gardens in what is now TriBeca.

Later in history it shifted from residential to warehouses, commerce and markets. After the Civil War, shipping hubs moved from the East River to the Hudson River and revitalized areas like the South Street Seaport and TriBeca. When shipping and commerce increased, the area soon became a favorite spot for wholesalers to store their goods in large industrial warehouses.

Just like its neighbor SoHo, TriBeCa boasts one of the world’s largest collections of wrought-iron facades and Neo-Grecian architecture.
