Property Description for 125 East 12th Street, 2-G

OWNER ACCPETED AN OFFER TO PURCHASE First showings being at Public Open House: Sunday 3/22 from 12:00-1:30pm. Move right in to this stunning oversized 1 bedroom loft in the highly coveted Zachary condominium. These owners left no stone unturned, from the custom bathroom with marble from the Italian Alps, Salvatori tile, and a Toto Neorest bidet, the sophisticated recessed and mounted lighting throughout, to the custom framed high efficiency Ephoca HVAC units. There is a customizable modular closet and office design by Vitsoe that can be made into a full book case, used as is, or the owners are happy to remove. The walls have been skim coated which act as the perfect projector backdrop. The loft's bedroom has custom sliding glass windows that allow for privacy, and matching custom doors for the walk-in closet and bathroom. The bathroom also has a separate entrance for guests. Add to this a remarkable amount of storage including built-ins throughout and an additional walk-in closet in the foyer, a washer/dryer, 12' soaring ceilings, increased electrical amperage to 200 volts, and a wall of windows with automatic sheer and blackout shades. This is a one of a kind loft that is both sophisticated and serene. The Zachary condominium was built in 1930 and converted to condos in 1986. This well maintained building is serviced by full time door persons with video security, a super, a handy man and porter. The Zachary also features a special community roof garden which has comfortable seating, grills, fruit trees, and a garden club that does an amazing job of growing tomatoes, and herbs in the summer. Residents of the building may join or just enjoy. All of this is just adjacent to Union Square subway hub, the Farmers market, Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods, discount shopping, theaters, and restaurants galore.

Greenwich Village | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Birthplace of beatniks, Greenwich Village has always been a neighborhood bursting with creativity, home to artists, poets, musicians and writers. There is a lot of foot traffic in the neighborhood, as it gives convenient access to many other neighborhoods. There are a lot of popular eateries on MacDougal Street and bars on Bleecker Street. The neighborhood has a bit of a college-town feel, due to the presence of NYU. There aren’t large chain stores here, so it isn’t really a mecca for shopaholics, but you can find interesting vintage stores and specialty boutiques.

Available housing is centered on pre-war walk-ups. You can find good deals on the quieter, tree-lined side streets, as opposed to the bustling avenues. There are pockets of brownstones and townhouses, some dating back to the early 19th century, throughout the neighborhood, as well. You will find more luxurious housing in the newer high-rise buildings on Park and Fifth Avenues.

Washington Square Park is the heart of the neighborhood. If you sit near the Arch and close your eyes, you might catch an echo of the music and social history of the Park, floating through the air. Greats like Joan Baez, Bob Dylan, and Paul Simon started their storied careers right here in Greenwich Village. Today, the Village is a celebration of diversity, where everyone is welcome.
