Property Description for 227 East 57th Street, 14-C

Spacious South Facing 1Bedroom on a Prime East 57th Street
Welcome to this spacious, one-bedroom apartment located in the heart of East 57th street in Midtown Manhattan. This pre-war, Art Deco apartment building offers a 24-hour doorman, a live-in super, a bike room and a laundry room on site. The building was recently restored and meticulously maintained. This apartment building strives to make tenants feel like a member of their family, which is an uncommon find in Manhattan apartment buildings and it's all thanks to the building's attentive and knowledgeable staff.

This beautiful 14th floor one bedroom apartment faces South of Midtown Manhattan and the living room has a lot of natural light, high beamed ceilings and beautiful parquet floors that makes the apartment look brand new. There's an open kitchen with a breakfast bar that's been newly updated with enough space to fit a decent sized kitchen table and it provides a bright and functional layout.

The bedroom is on the bigger side, which is a luxury in New York City, and there's enough room to fit a King bed, an office desk and chair and it includes custom California closets. Attached to the bedroom is a newly renovated bathroom, creating a clean aesthetic look.

The neighborhood is the home to many NYC's corporations, making this a sought after neighborhood due to easy commute times to the office. Also, the neighborhood is in the middle of Manhattan, making Midtown very accessible due to bus stops on each avenue and the local subway station on 58th street.
There's a Whole Foods Market and wine shop located directly downstairs, and within walking distance is Central Park, Bloomingdale's, Bergdorf Goodman, Equinox, etc. The neighborhood also offers some of New Yorkers favorite restaurants such as P.J. Clarke's, and Bloom's Tavern-perfect for a relaxed dinner, drinks, or meeting friends just steps from home.
If you're looking for a charming, big one-bedroom with an open kitchen apartment that's close to some of Manhattan's most popular neighborhoods and easily commutable to your office, this is a must see apartment.

Midtown East | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Midtown West and Midtown East have a lot in common. They’re bustling, iconic, and full of people. But just like siblings, their personalities can be vastly different. Midtown East is a bit more sophisticated and doesn’t quite have the vivacity and unruliness that its westerly counterpart exudes.

Midtown East is bordered by 42nd to the south, 59th Street to the north, 5th Avenue to the west, and 3rd Avenue to the east.

The neighborhood is famous for its high-end stores, tourist attractions, posh hotels (budget ones too), and iconic architecture. Midtown East is also one of the largest financial and business hubs in Manhattan. During normal business hours the sidewalks are full of commuters and people moving from point A to point B. In the early evening, when the masses have left for the day, things suddenly get a little quieter and the sidewalks have a lot less foot traffic.

Although largely a commercial neighborhood, residential areas of Midtown East do exist on the eastern section of the neighborhood.

Grand Central Station is located in Midtown East and like Midtown West, it’s an extremely commutable neighborhood. The 4, 5, 6, 7 and S trains whisk people in and out of the neighborhood 24 hours a day. Grand Central Station also serves as a hub for New York State and Connecticut commuter rails. These trains can take you anywhere along the Hudson River or up into Connecticut. It’s perfect for day tripping.
