Property Description for 100 Hudson Street, 7-BC

Located in the heart of Tribeca, 100 Hudson Street, Residence 7BC is a bright, high floor, fully renovated three-bedroom home with open exposures to the north, south, and east. An astute combination of two units, 7BC has an impeccable flow, with the open public spaces neatly separated from the bedroom wing. Fully renovated by Studio DB, it is a light-filled and incredibly well-appointed home. Enter the home through a proper foyer and into the living room. A wall of six south-facing windows greets you. The apartment has a total of 58 feet of southern frontage from the living room and the bedrooms. Wide-plank herringbone floors, a ventless fireplace, and 10.5-foot ceilings create a warm openness. So does the segmentation of the space, with natural divisions for a generous seating area, formal dining, and a proper entry experience. The kitchen is well appointed at every detail, with plenty of storage space, top-end appliances from Miele and Liebherr, and keenly chosen finishes. A large cararra marble island comfortably seats four and adds ample prep and serving space. The counters are silestone, and the fixtures are brass. The kitchen includes a combination steam and traditional oven, a second traditional oven, a combination microwave and speed oven, built-in coffee maker, and the adjacent wet bar offers two wine refrigerators, a pantry and additional storage closet. Three bedrooms occupy the east end of the apartment. The primary suite sits at the northeast corner, and gets all-day light with its two exposures. A windowed home office sits within the primary suite, creating a bright and private work environment. The primary bathroom is exceptionally well appointed, with heated statuary marble floors, walls of venetian plaster and blue de savoi marble wall tile, and silver-polished nickel fixtures. The bathroom includes a double vanity, dual shower heads, and a standalone tub. Four closets, including a walk-in closet, complete the suite. The two secondary bedrooms each face south and share an adjacent bathroom; the larger of the two also has an east-facing window. The secondary bathroom has calacatta marble floor and backsplash, and a vanity and fixtures from Porcelanosa. Completing the bedroom wing is a side-by-side washer and dryer, along with plenty of additional storage. Finally, the apartment includes a powder room for guests, with a calacatta marble sink and Watermark antique brass fixtures; two AC cooling systems; built-in Sonos speakers in the living room and primary bedroom; and two large entry closets at the foyer. Residence 7BC trades with a large, 10'x12' storage unit in the basement. 100 Hudson Street is a pre-war co-operative of only 33 units. This well-maintained building dates back to 1909; the ground floor now serves as the flagship Thom Browne store. The building offers a beautifully landscaped roof deck, refined lobby, and live-in superintendent.

Tribeca | Manhattan

Quick Profile

TriBeCa, named after the small geographic triangle below Canal Street. It’s not really a triangle, it's a quadrilateral and it's bounded by West Street, Broadway, and Chambers Street. It’s a little too late for a name change and besides, QuaBeCa doesn't sound half as cool as Tribeca.

One of New York City’s more notable acronymed neighborhoods, TriBeCa is known for its trendy boutiques, fabolous restaurants, historical landmarks, and resident celebrity lofts. It still holds the title of one of the coolest places to live in New York City.

TriBeCa is one of the first residential neighborhoods of New York City. Way back in 1700’s wealthy New Yorkers built homes and maintained gardens in what is now TriBeca.

Later in history it shifted from residential to warehouses, commerce and markets. After the Civil War, shipping hubs moved from the East River to the Hudson River and revitalized areas like the South Street Seaport and TriBeca. When shipping and commerce increased, the area soon became a favorite spot for wholesalers to store their goods in large industrial warehouses.

Just like its neighbor SoHo, TriBeCa boasts one of the world’s largest collections of wrought-iron facades and Neo-Grecian architecture.
