Property Description for 21 East 4th Street

Welcome home to 21 E 4th Street a three-story two-family Townhouse, thoughtfully designed for flexible living, complete with parking and nestled on a serene tree-lined block in the heart of Windsor Terrace.

This well-maintained unattached two-family home offers the perfect combination of space and character. Its flexible layout lends it self to multi-generational living. You can live in one unit while renting the other, or you can easily reconfigure into your own single family dream home.

Each unit boasts generous layouts with an abundance of natural light, updated kitchens and appliances with loads of cabinetry and counter space, ceiling fans and high ceilings. Updated kitchens and bathrooms balance functionality and style, while thoughtful upgrades throughout the home provide comfort and convenience.

Enter the owner'a triplex through your own private driveway (with no worries of alternated side!). An open floorplan welcomes conversation with guests while preparing a meal. The living, dining, and kitchen flow seamlessly together-perfect for everyday living or entertaining. Upstairs there are three comfortable bedrooms, with room for storage and/or office space. Additionally, downstairs is a fully finished basement, with a half bath and a bonus room. This the kind of home that you can truly grow into.

One more flight up, there is a beautifully-maintained sun drenched studio apartment with its own entrance a huge walk-in closet and breakfast bar. Separate entrances and utilities, this property ensures privacy for both units. This is rare opportunity to own a versatile, income-producing home in peaceful, picturesque Windsor Terrace.

Windsor Terrace | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

The tiny, comma-shaped neighborhood of Windsor Terrace is bookended between two of Brooklyn’s largest green spaces, Prospect Park and the massive Green-Wood cemetery. Aside from the presence of the Prospect Park Expressway, which dissects the neighborhood in two, this residential community offers a suburban sensibility with its tree-lined streets, low volume traffic and the low height character of its streetscape.

Many homes in the area are low to the ground, lending a suburban feel to the neighborhood, and the area has been down-zoned to maintain its low-rise appeal and character. There are plentiful brick row houses that have very low turnover. If you are lucky enough to buy or rent one, you tend to hold on to it. There are also small apartment buildings, private homes, condos and multi-family homes in a wide price range

There is commercial development along Prospect Park West, Fort Hamilton Parkway and Prospect Avenue, but even these new stores and restaurants are mostly family-owned and operated, maintaining the small-town charm. The pace of life is slower. The schools are good, which is a big draw for families with young children. The people are friendly, which gives a real sense of neighborhood and community to Windsor Terrace.
