Property Description for 1073 Willoughby Ave, 1-B

Welcome to 1073 Willoughby Avenue, a boutique new development condominium comprised of eight residences, with thoughtfully designed homes in the heart of Bushwick. The building presents a modern, intimate residential experience set among the neighborhood's dining, retail corridors, and creative energy.

Townhouse B is a spacious two-bedroom, two & 1/2-bathroom duplex with an exceptional 1,426 square feet of interior and 475 square feet of outdoor space. The upper level provides a clear separation between living and private areas, creating a comfortable and well-balanced layout. The versatile lower level can be configured for a guest suite, home office, or media lounge. It includes a dedicated powder room and laundry closet with in-unit washer and dryer. Architectural windows utilize the building lightwell for natural light.

A sun-filled open-plan living and dining room flows naturally to the southern-facing private backyard, creating a bright and inviting space for everyday living and entertaining. The kitchen is thoughtfully designed with clean finishes, a Bertazzoni gas range, and a center island with seating for four, along with generous storage and full-size appliances. White oak flooring throughout the residence adds warmth and continuity.

Two well-proportioned bedrooms are located on the main level, each with south-western exposure and excellent natural light. These rooms easily accommodate queen or king-size furniture and full bedroom sets, supported by a generous closet and an en suite bathroom conveniently positioned off the main bedroom.

An in-unit washer/dryer and generous storage throughout the home enhance everyday convenience, while the unit delivers a sense of scale and privacy rarely found in condominium living.

Building features include a virtual doorman and a beautifully finished common roof deck with open-sky views and a peaceful outdoor escape for residents.

Ideally located near the intersection of Bushwick and Bed-Stuy, 1073 Willoughby Avenue places you moments from neighborhood favorites along Myrtle and Broadway, including local cafés, restaurants, and shops, as well as nearby green spaces. Bushwick | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

As one of the most diverse neighborhoods in New York, Bushwick offers a perfect snapshot of just how multicultural the city is. Long-established as an amalgam of cultures and ethnicities, a wave of varying types of immigrants trickled in from the seventeenth to twentieth centuries, with Bushwick largely becoming a home to Hispanics of Puerto Rican and Dominican backgrounds by the latter part of the twentieth century.

With the Bushwick Initiative of the mid-00s that aided in revitalization, it became an attractive area to young professionals and artists. And even now, Bushwick has sustained affordable rent prices where other North Brooklyn counterparts, like Williamsburg and Greenpoint, have become more expensive. Priding itself on the weird and the wacky, numerous art collectives thrive in this part of Brooklyn, once famously named the seventh coolest neighborhood in the world by Vogue.

Though it has drawn in many tourists in recent years (there’s even a graffiti tour you can take from the Bushwick Collective), the neighborhood remains very much community-oriented, and has not been subject to quite the same sort of corporate infiltration phenomenon of its nearby Williamsburg environs.

But yes, of course, Bushwick has come a very long way from its 80s and 90s reputation as being “The Well,” a nickname given to it for its free-flowing and widely available amount of drugs (quantity over quality being the cliche applied here).
