Property Description for 215 North 10th Street, 4-E

Unit 4E at NX is one of those apartments that is genuinely hard to come by. The first one-bedroom available for resale in a boutique 31-home condominium designed by Morris Adjmi, with a full service doorman seven days a week from 7am to 11pm, in the heart of North Williamsburg. Buildings like this do not come along often and neither do apartments like this one.

Unit 4E opens into a proper entry foyer with a generous built-out coat closet. Just beyond it sits a dedicated room perfectly suited as a home office, nursery, or guest room, a versatile space that is genuinely rare to find in Williamsburg.

The living and dining room is open, airy, and bathed in natural light all day long. Ten-foot ceilings, wide-plank European white oak floors, custom shades, and signature black clad windows give the home a brightness and crispness that carries through every room. There is real space here to live, dine, and entertain.

The kitchen is the heart of this home. Custom Italian cabinetry rises ceiling-height in a two-tone finish with a full uninterrupted slab of Italian Volakas marble running from countertop through backsplash in one seamless sweep. A custom island with generous storage anchors the space. Miele and Bosch appliances, an oversized sink with InSinkErator, a wine refrigerator, and a Morris Adjmi-designed anthracite pull-down faucet. This is a kitchen that was genuinely thought through.

The primary bedroom is generous, serene, and flooded with natural light through floor to ceiling black clad windows. Just outside the bedroom door sits an oversized walk-in closet, fully customized from top to bottom, keeping the bedroom itself clear and calm. Together with the primary bathroom where warm seamless European porcelain wraps floor to ceiling, a double vanity glows with under-mount lighting, and a frameless glass shower with ceiling-mount rain head and custom Morris Adjmi anthracite fixtures awaits, along with a dedicated laundry room with full-size stacked Bosch washer and dryer and additional storage, the entire wing functions as a true private suite. A pocket door closes off the space from the rest of the home when desired. Leave it open and simply close the bedroom door behind you while guests have full run of the living spaces.

Private storage unit and a dedicated bike space in the subcellar both convey with the sale. Smart locks by SALTO and sound attenuation throughout complete a home where nothing was left as an afterthought.

Two blocks to McCarren Park. Three and a half blocks to the L train, on a tree-lined quiet street. Lilia, Cafe Mogador, Laser Wolf, Sunday in Brooklyn, the Four Horsemen, the Wythe Hotel, the William Vale rooftop, and Smorgasburg on the waterfront. Chanel, Reformation, Kith, Paul Smith, Le Labo, Aesop, and Madewell all on foot. This is what Williamsburg has become and there is nowhere else in Brooklyn quite like it.

And then there is the building. NX is one of the only boutique condominiums in North Williamsburg with a full service doorman and amenities. Just 31 residences, and a rooftop that has to be seen to be believed. Lush landscaping, generous lounge seating, a lawn, and unobstructed Manhattan skyline views that stretch from the Empire State Building across the entire cityscape. Add a smart fitness center, a package room, and an on-site parking garage. At this size, with this level of service, in this location, there is genuinely nothing else like it. Do not miss this one.

Williamsburg | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

Equal parts family-friendly and millennial haven/nightlife destination, Williamsburg offers the best of all worlds. Whether by night or by day, the ‘Burg has endless options for every type of personality and interest--which has only increasingly become the case after the neighborhood was rezoned in 2005. With the floodgate opened for more varied types of businesses, Williamsburg saw one of the highest rates of development in the past decade than any other part of Brooklyn.

Referred to as “Little Berlin” for its late night and club-oriented nature, Williamsburg works as hard as it plays. Apart from the Clubland concentrated around Wythe Avenue, there is also a slew of offices (like 25 Kent Avenue, a sprawling eight-floor, 500,000-square foot waterfront building) and co-working spaces such as WeWork, The Yard and Green Desk that make it an ideal location for the corporate-, startup- and tech-oriented set.

With more offices setting their sights on this part of Brooklyn, it only makes sense that more people want to live close to where they work. Apart from your average walk-up apartment, W-burg has famously become home to numerous condos along the waterfront that continue to grow and expand in concert with the businesses and corporate hubs that have entered the environment.

Even with its many and undeniable changes, however, Williamsburg remains an arts-friendly community, particularly with regard to music and literature. While DIY spaces have come and gone, certain staples have persisted to become institutions that still provide a place for up and coming musicians to perform. On the literary front, long-standing indie bookstores like Spoonbill and Sugartown and Book Thug Nation have paved the way for others to cross the river, namely McNally Jackson Books.
