Property Description for 1492 Bedford Ave, 3-A

Welcome to 1492 Bedford Avenue, Residence 3A - where space, light, and thoughtful design come together in the heart of Brooklyn.

The Apartment
This bright and beautifully renovated 3-bedroom, 1.5-bath home (easily convertible to 2 full baths) offers approximately 1,200 square feet of serenity, seclusion,
and sunlight. Positioned on the third floor of a well-maintained walk-up condominium, the residence is defined by three exposures, high ceilings, beautiful hardwood strip floors, and eleven windows that fill the home with natural light throughout the day.

The expansive living and dining area creates an inviting setting for everyday living, entertaining, and relaxing. Oversized east-facing windows allow morning light to pour into the space, while the thoughtful separation from the bedrooms provides a sense of comfort and quiet on the west side of the home.

At the center of it all, the open kitchen is both stylish and functional, featuring Caesarstone countertops, stainless steel appliances including a dishwasher, refrigerator, five-burner range, and microwave, crisp white cabinetry, a striking backsplash, and a generous breakfast bar that anchors the space.

The hallway to the bedrooms offers exceptional functionality, with a renovated full windowed bathroom with hardware from Signature Hardware, deep soaking tub and Toto toilet, an in-unit vented washer-dryer, and a row of closets, all finished with new doors and hardware.

The king-sized primary bedroom is a peaceful retreat, facing west toward the quiet interior of the block with treetop views and a glimpse of the downtown Brooklyn skyline. It includes an updated en suite half bath with the potential to be converted into a full bathroom. The second and third bedrooms are generously sized, easily accommodating queen beds, and offer excellent closet space.

Crown Heights | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

Originally known as Crown Hill by the Lenape Indians that lived there, Crown Heights has evolved into a diverse neighborhood, occupied primarily by Hasidic Jews and one of the largest Caribbean populations to be found anywhere outside of the West Indies.

Head over to Nostrand Avenue, one of the main West Indian commercial areas in the neighborhood, which is lined with stores that have been in those exact same places for generations, providing their goods and services to area residents. Kingston Avenue has similar commercial activities that support the Jewish community, and Franklin Avenue shows the most signs of change and gentrification, with an ever-expanding mix of yoga studios, coffee shops, and organic grocery stores that serve the influx of young professionals. No matter which of these areas you visit, you will find an interesting mix of businesses that you wouldn’t normally picture as existing side-by-side. It is all part of the cultural diversity of Crown Heights.

The neighborhood is bisected, from east to west, by Eastern Parkway, which is a beautiful, 3-mile-long boulevard lined with mature trees. This leafy oasis was designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, famed designer of Central Park, the Biltmore Estate in North Carolina, and the U. S. Capitol in Washington, D. C.

You will find a mix of low-rise apartment buildings, large middle-class elevator buildings, brownstones, and some luxury buildings. Century-old architecture stands next to modern residential developments in a visually interesting mix of styles, much as the diversity of the residents exists. People who would not normally meet and mix are forging new pathways to cultural understanding by working, living, and playing together in the same neighborhood.
