Property Description for 98 Front Street, 5-H

*Deeded Parking Space & Storage Unit Included* Every detail in this building is considered. Residence 5H considered a few more. Not every two-bedroom arrives with this level of detail. The current owner commissioned custom cabinetry and a built-in banquette that extend the Italian kitchen's blonde wood palette — warm, natural, and seamlessly integrated against clean white Corian surfaces. The result is a home that feels considered — better flow, integrated storage, and a dining space that truly earns its footprint. Morning light fills the living room through floor-to-ceiling ALUMIL windows, landing on wide-plank white oak floors and rising toward nearly eleven-foot polished concrete ceilings. The scale reads like a loft; the finish reads like a custom home. The primary suite is quiet and well-proportioned, with generous closet space and an en-suite bath where radiant heat rises through marble floors underfoot and an oversized glass-enclosed shower anchors the room. The second bedroom is flexible enough for a guest room, home office, or nursery, with an adjacent bath finished to the same standard. Central air, in-unit laundry, and Latch keyless entry throughout. This residence also includes a deeded parking space and storage unit — rare inclusions at this price point in the building. Designed by ODA New York, 98 Front Street is a LEED-certified full-service condominium. The building leads with its differentiators: private valet parking with EV charging, an indoor saltwater pool, steam room, fitness center, co-working lounge, children's playroom, landscaped rooftop with outdoor kitchens, and 24-hour door staff with a live-in resident manager. One subway stop from Manhattan. Moments from Brooklyn Bridge Park. In the middle of everything DUMBO does best. Note: Select bedroom images have been virtually staged to show potential furniture layouts.

Dumbo | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

DUMBO, which is an acronym for Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass, used to be a lively industrial and manufacturing zone, full of large factories and warehouses. These buildings have now been converted into expansive lofts, theaters, galleries, and office spaces for start-up companies. These larger residential spaces are attractive to families and creative artists and writers who need space to dream and create.

DUMBO was named in 1978 as a sort of reverse marketing ploy to try to keep people from swarming into the area, attracted by the quaint tree-lined streets, elegant historic brownstones, large lofts, and views of Lower Manhattan. It was felt that this influx of people would change the nature of the neighborhood. It was hoped that by giving the area a ridiculous name, nobody would want to live there.

Many of the neighborhood’s bars, hotels, and restaurants capitalize on the stunning waterfront views and the Manhattan skyline in the background. Interesting and fun cultural events are held under and around the Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges that connect DUMBO to Manhattan. One of these is the annual Oktoberfest.

With beautiful vignettes of the Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridges being framed around every corner, DUMBO provides residents and tourists with charming, and often surprising, views. Because the neighborhood is eminently walkable and filled with unique shops, it feels like a small town on the edge of a major urban waterfront. Once people move to DUMBO, they tend to stay and become involved in the community.
