Property Description for 952 Bushwick Ave, 6-A

This meticulously maintained two-bedroom penthouse at 952 Bushwick Avenue offers luxury living within an intimate boutique condominium setting, from its spacious layout to its thoughtfully selected finishes. Enormous oak-trimmed windows in the living room and both bedrooms flood the home with natural light throughout the day. The kitchen is equipped with custom wood and lacquer cabinetry, granite countertops accented by matte black Delta hardware, and a suite of stainless-steel appliances including a Blomberg refrigerator, 30” slide-in smooth-top electric range, XO vented range hood, and a top-control integrated tall-tub Blomberg dishwasher. The primary bedroom features a private en suite bath, while the bathroom is equally well appointed — both offering a spa-like experience with radiant heated matte porcelain tile floors, walnut cabinetry, and a spacious shower and bathtub designed for relaxation. A floor-to-ceiling walk-in closet with a custom shelving system provides exceptional storage and seamlessly connects the primary bedroom to its en suite bath. An in-unit GE washer and dryer add the ultimate New York City convenience, while the furnished shared roof deck offers impressive city views. Additional building amenities include a bike room, fitness center, and private storage. The building is pet friendly -- dogs and cats are permitted. This penthouse unit provides the quality and luxury of new construction with the building only being a few years old, but without the hassle and uncertainty of purchasing directly from a sponsor and not knowing when you will be able to close or when a certificate of occupancy will come in. Commuting is effortless with access to the J/Z lines at Gates Avenue and Kosciuszko Street, the M line at Central Avenue, multiple bus routes, and Citi Bike stations — all within a short distance.

Bushwick | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

As one of the most diverse neighborhoods in New York, Bushwick offers a perfect snapshot of just how multicultural the city is. Long-established as an amalgam of cultures and ethnicities, a wave of varying types of immigrants trickled in from the seventeenth to twentieth centuries, with Bushwick largely becoming a home to Hispanics of Puerto Rican and Dominican backgrounds by the latter part of the twentieth century.

With the Bushwick Initiative of the mid-00s that aided in revitalization, it became an attractive area to young professionals and artists. And even now, Bushwick has sustained affordable rent prices where other North Brooklyn counterparts, like Williamsburg and Greenpoint, have become more expensive. Priding itself on the weird and the wacky, numerous art collectives thrive in this part of Brooklyn, once famously named the seventh coolest neighborhood in the world by Vogue.

Though it has drawn in many tourists in recent years (there’s even a graffiti tour you can take from the Bushwick Collective), the neighborhood remains very much community-oriented, and has not been subject to quite the same sort of corporate infiltration phenomenon of its nearby Williamsburg environs.

But yes, of course, Bushwick has come a very long way from its 80s and 90s reputation as being “The Well,” a nickname given to it for its free-flowing and widely available amount of drugs (quantity over quality being the cliche applied here).
