Property Description for 101 Leonard Street, 5-D

Introducing Residence 5D at The Leonard - an exceptionally rare opportunity to own a sprawling Tribeca residence offering true 3-bedroom functionality below the $3M price point.

Spanning approximately 1,510 square feet, this expansive 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom home with a large home office delivers the scale, proportions, and versatility rarely found in downtown Manhattan. The Home Office functions seamlessly as a true third bedroom, guest suite, nursery, or media room, creating extraordinary flexibility for modern living.

Oversized south-facing bay windows flood the residence with natural sunlight throughout the day while framing beautiful architectural views and providing exceptional privacy. Loft-like proportions, soaring ceilings, and an expansive entertaining footprint create the feel of a true Tribeca loft, complemented by remarkable storage throughout - including oversized closets rarely seen in the neighborhood.

The gracious great room offers substantial living and dining proportions ideal for both everyday living and entertaining. Wide-plank hardwood floors, custom millwork, and refined architectural detailing establish a warm and sophisticated atmosphere throughout the home.

The oversized chef's kitchen is beautifully appointed with custom Italian cabinetry, quartzite countertops, Grohe fixtures, garbage disposal, and a fully integrated premium appliance suite.

A thoughtful split-bedroom layout provides exceptional separation and privacy. The primary suite serves as a quiet retreat with generous closet space and a spa-quality marble bathroom featuring a freestanding soaking tub, glass-enclosed rain shower, and double vanity. A spacious secondary bedroom, additional full bathroom, and in-unit Miele washer/dryer complete the residence.

Originally constructed in 1904 and meticulously reimagined in 2014 by Bizzi & Partners with interiors by Mitchell Freedland Design, The Leonard is one of Tribeca's premier boutique condominium conversions, offering residents a 24-hour doorman and concierge, fitness center, children's playroom, bike room, private storage, cold storage, landscaped rooftop terrace, and live-in superintendent.

Positioned at the crossroads of Tribeca, SoHo, and the Financial District, the building is moments from some of downtown Manhattan's most celebrated restaurants, shopping, and cultural destinations, including Locanda Verde, Tribeca Grill, and Maman, with immediate access to multiple subway lines.

Residence 5D represents a compelling combination of scale, functionality, privacy, and value within one of Tribeca's most sought-after full-service condominiums.

Tribeca | Manhattan

Quick Profile

TriBeCa, named after the small geographic triangle below Canal Street. It’s not really a triangle, it's a quadrilateral and it's bounded by West Street, Broadway, and Chambers Street. It’s a little too late for a name change and besides, QuaBeCa doesn't sound half as cool as Tribeca.

One of New York City’s more notable acronymed neighborhoods, TriBeCa is known for its trendy boutiques, fabolous restaurants, historical landmarks, and resident celebrity lofts. It still holds the title of one of the coolest places to live in New York City.

TriBeCa is one of the first residential neighborhoods of New York City. Way back in 1700’s wealthy New Yorkers built homes and maintained gardens in what is now TriBeca.

Later in history it shifted from residential to warehouses, commerce and markets. After the Civil War, shipping hubs moved from the East River to the Hudson River and revitalized areas like the South Street Seaport and TriBeca. When shipping and commerce increased, the area soon became a favorite spot for wholesalers to store their goods in large industrial warehouses.

Just like its neighbor SoHo, TriBeCa boasts one of the world’s largest collections of wrought-iron facades and Neo-Grecian architecture.
