Property Description for 458 West 20th Street, 1-D

BE THE FIRST to live in this state of the art one bedroom with outdoor space that's been meticulously redesigned, now delivering a bold, cohesive aesthetic.

Every element of the home reflects a considered balance of design and performance. The infrastructure has been fully modernized with a newly upgraded electrical panel and Green Clean Heat, while warm, fully dimmable lighting throughout allows the atmosphere to transition seamlessly from day to evening. All appliances are Energy Star-rated, including a GE 24-inch all-in-one front-load washer-dryer combo with sensor dry, thoughtfully integrated for maximum efficiency without sacrificing aesthetics.

The kitchen and bath are unified by polished Indian green marble, featured across countertops with waterfall and reverse beveled edges, and continued throughout all window sills in the apartment- a rare, luxury-level detail that reinforces the home's architectural continuity. Custom high-end cabinetry, including smooth-close doors and hidden paneled appliances, creates a clean, sculptural look throughout both the kitchen and storage spaces.

The bathroom is a true design statement. Carrara marble floors set the foundation for a custom-designed and fabricated vanity, showcasing an authentic Daniel Arsham sink and mirror set atop striking green stone. The shower is wrapped in fluted tile walls and fitted with an extra-large matte black rainfall system, offering a spa-quality experience. Completing the space is a DeerValley smart toilet with heated quiet-close seat, bidet functionality, gentle night light, remote control, and advanced tank less design.

Custom craftsmanship continues in the private quarters with bespoke bedroom closets and custom-built kitchen cabinetry, all designed specifically for this residence.

An outdoor terrace finished with terrazzo tiles extends the living space outdoors, offering a refined setting for morning coffee, evening cocktails, or quiet moments of retreat.

This is a turnkey, design-driven home where materiality, function, and visual impact converge-executed with intention and a distinct point of view.

458 W 20th Street is a small Chelsea boutique elevator townhouse building on the famed Seminary block. Its location is right in the middle of NYC's vibrant art scene including world renowned galleries and a plethora of fine dining options, steps away from Chelsea Piers and the Highline Park--a truly happening neighborhood!

Chelsea | Manhattan

Quick Profile

The row houses portray the world-class architecture of Greek Revival, Italianate and Georgian styles. The population is both ethnically and socially diverse, which is reflected in the restaurants and retail businesses in the neighborhood.

Western Chelsea is the center of the NYC art world, where you will find more than 200 art galleries housed in rehabbed factories and warehouses, as well as in newly-constructed buildings.

While people of many different cultures call Chelsea home, it has been a mecca over the years for people in the LGBTQ community. One census reported that as many as 22% of its residents were gay couples. Eighth Avenue is a trendy area for LGBTQ-oriented dining and shopping. Although it no longer draws the LGBTQ population that it once did, Chelsea still has many popular alternative bars.

Chelsea is primarily residential, consisting of a mixture of diverse complexes, low-rise apartment blocks, tenements, townhouses, renovated row houses, and luxury high-rises.

Chelsea is an interesting and sought-after place to live, with unique clothing boutiques, restaurants, and delis representing cultures from around the world. In addition to its quirky establishments, Chelsea has fine dining restaurants and a vibrant, hip nightlife, which adds to its allure.

Chelsea is well-served by public transportation. At least six city bus routes traverse Chelsea. There are three NYC subway routes with stops on Seventh Avenue, three on Eighth Avenue, and two more on Sixth Avenue. The 34th Street - Hudson Yards Station opened in 2015 with its main entrance in Chelsea.
