Property Description for 245 East 25th Street, 12-L

Welcome Home!

You will feel right at home and so happy, the moment you enter wonderful Apt. 12L, a turnkey and peaceful, one bedroom home, which features stunning open views including The Empire State, One Vanderbilt and the Chrysler Building views. This functional layout has everything you need to live very comfortably. The large, open kitchen has been fully renovated and boasts a ton of cabinet space as well as a full-sized breakfast (or evening cocktail) bar. With brand new floors throughout, there is a designated dining area that could work well as an office area too or you can even extend the large, double closets into three (or four.) The living room is generous in size, and you will love sitting on your sofa admiring your view, while hearing birds chirping below. The windowed bedroom fits a queen sized bed and furniture. There is an HVAC unit in each room for A/C and heat.

Spruce Ridge is a pristine, well-managed and financially sound, Pet Friendly 24HR Doorman building. Situated on a pretty, residential block, between 2nd and 3rd Avenues, there is also a wonderful roof deck, with jaw-dropping landmark views, as well as a card-operated laundry room, package screen, bicycle and storage room. Five minutes from the 6 train, Madison Square Park and one block from lively Third Avenue with a myriad of restaurants and pubs. There is also a Fairway, Whole Foods, Trader Joes and more (Dag’s and Morton Williams) right around the corner. Pet Friendly! Subletting after two years, for up to 5 of 7 years upon approval. Don’t miss!

Kips Bay | Manhattan

Quick Profile

If you take a walk through Kips Bay, which is loosely defined as the area between 23rd street and 34th street and the East River to almost Lexington, you’ll quickly learn it's a hodgepodge of sorts and not as well defined as other neighborhoods in New York City. Some New Yorkers say Kips Bay has an identity crisis because 1st, 2nd, and 3rd avenues are distinctly different from one another as you traverse them. Despite the perceived lack of neighborhood vibe there are others that appreciate its affordability and convenience.

First Avenue is dominated by hospitals and hospital buildings such as NYU Medical Center and Bellevue Hospital to name a few. Second Avenue is a mosaic of convenience stores, fast food joints and nondescript brick buildings. Third Avenue is saturated with small bars and gastropubs and the twenty somethings that patronize them.

No judgement against Kips Bay here. It’s a great neighborhood that is just as much a part of New York City as any other neighborhood. Kips Bay It’s bordered by Murray Hill to the North, Stuyvesant Town and Gramercy Park to the South, and Rose Hill to the West. The neighborhood is partly defined by newer high-rise apartments, brick rowhouses, and former tenement buildings.
